We also got to play it offline but we struggled getting some of our friends PC's to get it to work and ended up not playing it at all, only the ppl with Windows 7 was able to play it.

I am running Win7 and have only backwards tested it with Vista, but can install xp on my spare pc to test it if necessary.

It was more of a way to have private lan's without needing a net connection. I commend the organizers for setting up a connection this year, that's a ballsy move. Really looking forward to this years one, brand spanking new pc and will buy another hdd before the time, as well as friends flying up from Cape Town.

I can recommend the GTX470 for a new gpu, I got mine shortly after they were released here and have been more than happy with its performance (never seems to struggle, just keeps going!)
Will be my third time this year, i had better start practicing, hahaha.

Yeah, whatever you do. Save your money and spend at rAge rather then before. There are always sick cool specials at the exhibit and you can get almost anything there (tech/gaming related).

Indeed. I'm not sure where it says that the tickets are R350, as both the rageexpo.co.za site and the nag.co.za banners have the price down as R300. Could you point that out to us?

how many were on sale last year? and is 2080 including or excluding the "vip" competition area?

I think the 2080 Tickets Exclude the VIP Comp as they received there tickets from Do-gaming last year and did not have to pay for them, the Comp was gr8 last year, can't wait to see this year..

I'm sure that the tickets will be available as from 12:00 AM on their website for those that want to get up that early and purchase tickets. but then you will still need to go to a Computicket to collect the ticket/'s. but at least you will have secured your seat.

If I were you and could afford it I would get a whole new pc! Because to upgrade your CPU, you may need to get a new motherboard and probably RAM and other parts as well. I'm not so certain on your graphics card, so post your question on this thread (http://www.nag.co.za/forums/showthread.php?t=8642)

Last year it was 1800 in the general area with another 200 odd or so for the COD:MW comp area. I hope that it goes up again this year. (i.e more people in the general area)

The 2080 tickets that are going on sale will be in the general LAN section - last year we had 1800 and have done some manoeuvring around to add the additional 280 seats.
I'll get confirmation from Computicket on what times they will be open (its a Sunday so I'm not sure if it will be a bit later than normal or not).

Regarding Kinect, as soon as we have official news from Microsoft we'll let you know. :)
