Yeah, it seems my eyes and ears are made of **** these days. it was 12 hours for 2Gigs and a day or so for 6Gigs. Sorry. :(

I've decided to switch to Mweb Uncapped (384k) as well. I canceled my Telkom internet yesterday. Currently using a Afrihost prepaid account. I've noticed that Afrihost's capped products have been noticeably slower, since they released their uncapped products. Hopefully, things will run much smoother with Mweb.
Not even from steam, it's from the warhammer patch program.

No. But only slightly faster.
But?
38 * 60 = 2280kb per minute
2280 * 60 = 136800kb per hour
136800 / 1024 = 133.59375mb per hour
133.59375 / 1024 = 0.130462646484375Gb per hour
0.130462646484375 * 10 = 1.30462646484375GB in 10 hours.
So his speed is almost right?
EDIT: NVM... I'm gonna go an hero now, don't worry.

Now I don't even want to an hero anymore after seeing that picture of Gordon Brown.
I will concede that 384k uncapped lured me in before waiting to see the outcome. But SAOL has yet to give me any real speed issues or any issues in general.
Pity I will not see this burst though.

Your second speed test is what a 384k line should look like in general.
the HTTP side of things really area flying most of the time, more so than when I had the Cybersmart account, which seemed to die every now and then (although with Cybersmart I wasn't throttled to hell and back on certain protocols).
Is it just me though or does it seem like Youtube and streaming things in general is actually slower than it should be ?
I don't have a problem with the shaping of protocols at certain times, just as long as I can have maximum speed with my streaming at all times.
Trying to talk my dad into this , but I have a question.
Is this completely uncappped , as in unlimited cap? I can download anything from 3GB a month to 1000GB , Or are there some restrictions?
There is NO CAP meaning DOWNLOAD AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. But I think that MWEB throttles your line at certain points depending on how much you have downloaded.
Example: At 20GB they may make your line slower by 10%, then at 40GB make you line 20% slower. (This is just an example)
Totally forgot about this thread.
So when I got home Afrihost had already sorted out my internet. Tested it out and it was brilliant (this was during the Easter weekend so I presume there must have been high traffic with so many people off work).
Downloaded the Warhammer trial which is 1.2gb in about 1.5-2hrs. Thought it was pretty awesome so to do further testing I hooked it up to my Xbox and downloaded practically every demo on the Marketplace.
It downloads surprisingly faster on the Xbox with a 4.5gb download taking about 2hrs-2.5hrs, but perhaps that is due to the servers.
Unfortunately I did not get a speedtest.net while I was there but I'll make sure to take one next time.
Definately worth the money, and it worked out cheaper than Telkom by a longshot. (I used to have a 4gb 4MB account with Telkom). Nothing but praises about Afrihost from me so far! :)
