Interesting. I've never even met anyone that has played Trespasser before or even heard of it before!

A lot of people doesn't know it because it's always being called Trespasser but the actual title is Jurassic Park Trespasser. And yeah, it was awsome.

Along with that I used to play Future Cop LAPD till my eyes started to bleed.

Still, I've never met anyone with the game before. With Half-Life, SimFarm, SimCity 2000 etc. it's different. Funny as Trespasser inspired physics in Half-Life 2. Ever modded Trespasser before or played some of the custom maps? Trescom?

Been gaming since the days of PONG, remember two dials/paddles and one little dot moving at 'breakneck" speed across the screen.It had other games like soccer with more lines on the screen and tennis i think , but that was way back in the Jurassic age from wence i came :p

First gaming platform I played on was the ZX Spectrum then onto an 8bit Golden China (NES knock-off). From there onto the SEGA Master System followed by a Mega Drive. Favourite games back then were Jungle/Desert/Urban Strike, Boogerman and Earthworm Jim. As for PC's, I started out on a 386 with Larry the Lounge Lizzard, Prince of Persia and Police/Space Quest. Got a P1 75 Mhz as my first "serious pc" along with Hexen (or was it Heretic), Descent and Crusader: No Remorse. After being a serious PC gamer for 13 years I got fed up with the PC crowd "rat-race" and switched to console (Xbox 360 Elite) and haven't looked back. Only things I play on PC now are WOW and Trackmania.

I'm in my 40's and my first ever PC game was around when COD2 came out. I really enjoy RPG/shooters.
Just finished STALKER COP and loved it. My wife gets a little jealous at all the time I play but at least I'm at home. My 2 sons love gaming as well and it's at least taught them a bit about PC's.
I think gaming has calmed me down and kept me busy instead being bored and ending up at the pub all day on weekends and after work.
Some of my family and friends think I've lost my marbles and need to grow up. F*%k that I will keep on playing.

Ahhh , my first encounter with video games was at the age of 5 , my first console was a sega mega drive.
First game was the lion king , and the truly epic Desert strike , those were all i can remember.
The ps1 was my first serious console , got far too many games for that , the good old days of gran turismo 2 and battle tanks. Then there was pc gaming which a learned much from, thank you Mr Freeman !!!

i dont understand? why shud i waste tym writing the whole thing out wen dis is much faster and every1 can still understand it w/out a problem? i am clever enuf to know that wasting tym writing everything in full is not productive. the human brain is able to decypher even badly spelt stuff easily so it is a waste to make things perfect

Ordinary people should not have a problem reading my post because it does not deviate too much from expanded english. In fact it makes it quicker for you to read and quicker for me to write. Any way back to the topic, My first console was a golden china and my first games were probably Mario, Wonderboy, Contra (That game still haunts me) and paperboy.

I also started way back in '92 with a Golden China and a game cartridge with 20 games, including Mario, Contra, Paper boy, etc. Then I swapped it for a Sega Megadrive, and discovered Sonic and Echo The Dolphin. Bought my first 386 PC in '95, and fell in love with the Space Quest series, Tomb Raider, and Heretic. At that stage I was SERIOUSLY addicted. The rest is all a blur, and today I'm playing Final Fantasy 13. Point is, gaming is a brilliant hobby, and it has enriched my life tremendously.

Geez gaming has made a huge impact on my life. I can't remember a time when I didn't game in some form or another. I'd like to think it taught me things, added to my creativity and imagination in ways other media struggle to. I mean I can't imagine myself at 70 sitting around watching TV when I'm retired...

Now I'm looking to take my career into dev, I already have the qualified programming background(and an unrelated Biodiversity and Ecology degree). I just need to step up and take the time and I suppose the risk.

I must have started at the age of 5 or 6 so '90 or '91 on the Atari 2600. From there I was hooked and my interest in gaming exploded. So I've owned:

couple that with many, many hours at the arcade and I can say gaming is both a hobby and a passion I've had for most of my life. I plan to keep it like that. The PC is probably my core platform, but I'll play anything and everything regardless of genre as long as it's good(hell even some bad). So I'm a casually hardcore platform agnostic and loving it!

first game i ever remember playing was some old dos game called halloween harry, and cosmo i think, then golden axe and then came monster truck madness (PURE WIN) and a few other classics that where a big hit in those early years, but all great games none the less.

Same here but I was always playing the Sky Captain mode. I'll never forget what he used to say in that weird evil voice: "MINE! ALL MINE!" followed by "AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" as I blew the **** out of him! Shockwave generator upgrade FTW!

Anyway who here remembers (or even heard of if you're young) TwinBee on the NES? Used to spend hours playing that game. There was also another top down shmup on the NES where you chose wings in the start of every level for your plane/ship/thing and each set of wings had like different weapon modes of firing (my fave being the gigantic bowling balls). The name of the title eludes me sadly...

I started at the age of 3 in 1994. Windows 3.1 and Dos were my outlet after pre-school. I pity the fool who can't use Dos.

I grew up on many games that came on original floppies (Only time I've ever held a 5?-inch something) such as Paratrooper and Busytown.

My gaming life would flip full circle when my dad bought me this while we were in England:
- cannot find the correct picture, I guess it's too old -
Encyclopedia of 1000 games.

It had every dos/Windows 95 game that I could have ever wanted. True enough, I never played all of them but the ones I did play, rawked my sawks.

My collection of epic winnage was complete:

Hugo's House of Horrors (Still one of my favourite game series to date)

Paratrooper

That would be the last I saw of the sun... I use to be the darkest person in my grade, now, I'm but a white-boy tanning under the UV light of his computer screen. I need a hero... I'm waiting for FoX to break out of Namibia (Which is actually a small shop in Oranje, Xerxes) and save me from the nothing I've become.
