Default Nvidia v ATI DX10 shootout

    http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/10/...out/index.html

"With price tags of $550 and $725 respectively, the Geforce 8800 GTX and Ultra are anything but cheap. That's a lot of money to invest into 3D gaming. Under DirectX 10, these graphics processors really fly. While their performance lead over the Radeon 2900 XT and the Geforce 8800 GTS was not as pronounced under Windows XP/DirectX 9, they offer between 50 and 100 percent more performance than these cards under Vista/DirectX 10."

    Interesting article.

Thought I might bump this as it seems nobody's seen it.

It makes me think though, that at this point there is no real reason to buy Vista/DX10. Not with cards getting hammered like they are by DX10.

You're not getting much feedback because it's a tired topic and people just aren't interested anymore. Myself and all of my friends who have DX10 cards are quite happy with them. Half of us have ATI cards the other nVidia.

Kinda redundant isn't it? Who else makes DX10 gaming cards?

I've been illustrating technical RAID diagrams of huge HP servers since Friday, the fact that I was mildly coherent in that post is good enough for me.

I'll post a picture later to show you what I mean, I'll just edit the sensitive info out.

Ad least I can feel good about getting my 8800GTS 320MB :D "The Geforce 8600 GT and the Geforce 8800 GTS with 320 MB offer the most performance for your money."
