I was busy looking for the Motorola Defy wallpapers online as I can't extract them from my dad's phone so I did a search at the xda forums and low and behold I found them here.It turns out the guy uploaded all the wallpapers for motorola based android phones including the motorola droid star wars wallpapers.

Heres the direct link to the drop box:'BlurHome.Wallpapers'

I bought myself the Motorola Defy about 12 days ago. Absolutely amazing phone, loved everything about it. Until yesterday when it fell out my pocket when getting out my car. The screen cracked in two different places. This is a phone that is advertised as being the tank of all smart phones. Went into vodacare, they told me this doesn't fall under warranty because its "Physical Damage". Physical Damage my ass, I have dropped much more fragile phones from much greater heights at much greater velocities, and they all survived perfectly fine.

Did some research on it, seems I am not the only unhappy Defy customer. Apparently there are multiple cases of peoples Defy's screens cracking. Gorilla glass isn't living up to its name, thats for sure. People are actually attempting to sue Motorola for false advertising. Ill be phoning them on Monday (their head offices aren't open on weekends, go figure) to lay a complaint, just for the hell of it. The least they can do is pay to fix the glass that by their standards, is the most resilient thing this side of adamantium. Shows how much faith they really have in their own product. Bad customer care is bad.

    /end rant.

TD;DR : The defy is an amazing phone, Motorola is a **** company and will never buy another phone from them again.

This is happening more often where they just CBF about the customers anymore.
I have seen several pics of X10's that were driven over by cars and trucks.. They look like hell but still boot and the touch-pad still works.
but smart phones are not to be dropped.

A friend of mine recommended this app as I complained about the predictive text (t9) input on my HTC Tattoo. I made a few mistakes while chatting to him on gtalk :P

Writing on small devices, in a fast and natural way

The 8pen? allows for the replacement of the conventional keyboard on all devices capable of detecting gestures, in particular mobile phones with touch screens, digital cameras, modern remote controls or game controllers. Its advantage lies mainly in the fact that it is possible to input text faster than using conventional layouts on small devices, while at the same time mimicking human hand-writing. Moreover, the simplicity of the gestures involved greatly reduces the problem of mistyping that frequently occurs with the classical layout due to the lack of space. For the same reason, it is possible to write without viewing, as only the central region is needed as a reference for starting and ending a movement.
    The basic movement
Producing a character is easy, fast, and feels like hand-writing. Once familiar with the position of the letters, writing can even be done without viewing.

    Special and uppercase characters
Special characters, such as ?, ?, ? or ? are produced almost like the standard ones, but by pausing the movement in the appropriate sector. For uppercase characters, there is a little trick.

    Custom gestures
Gestures started outside of the central region can be used to quickly produce custom character sequences, such as your name or a commonly used phrase.
More details regarding The 8 Pen can be found on their website.

Anyways, watch the video for a quick demo of how it works.

And finally, the QR Code, if you are interested in downloading it. It's FREE! :D

It works for any version of Android from 1.6 upwards.

I have tried it for typing a few messages and it works quite well. I'm not very good at using it as an input method yet, t9 is still faster for me, but I can see how it could work as a replacement for multi-tapping input. I'll keep trying it until I have a better idea of where what letters are on the "letter wheel". Maybe then it will be a viable replacement for me.

I honestly only know two or three people on WhatsApp. Mxit has been quiet of late though...

****ing BBs are taking over. I hope this turns out to be true, that way I can laugh at the sheep that had to get crappy phones just for BBM.

On another note: anyone tried PSX emulation on Android? I got fpse, runs Silent Hill beautifully, but I cannot get it to use the hardware keys on my Mini Pro. King of Fighters 97 runs okay-ish. Anyone need help getting it to run, I'll be happy to help.

Discalimer: I only download ROMs of games I have on disc (and I have quite a lot of PS1 games). I would just create ISOs of the discs, but most are scratched and damaged beyond repair.

The appeal of Blackberry for me isn't the messenger system, it is the free data that comes with it.
Most Mobile Service Providers in Europe and the US already offer unlimited data options. I can't wait for that to come to us at affordable rates. I guess our internet connectivity to the rest of the world would need to be upgraded first before that will happen...

@Parker I use PSX4Droid. The latest version is pure magic. 95% of my games work [Resident Evil 2 don't :( ] well and I think you can configure hardware buttons with it. It isn't available on the Market anymore, though. Google it and you can probably download it from the dev's site.

Got to play on a live handset of the samsung galaxy tab tablet and I really liked it.Was a bit flawed as I adjusted the timezone settings and could not find Pretoria? Only Harare.Otherwise it really fun to work on but needs to be connected to the net to be able to download apps to expand its usability.

Still would like to get one but it is expensive. :(

Hey guys, any news on the "BBM coming to Android" rumor? I've seen some improvement on the case, but how long until it's "official" and "released" for the new Android phones? I'm sure as hell getting me a Galaxy S2, but I'm actually considering a BB Torch if the BBM thing doesn't come to Android within the next two-three months.
