okay, ive gone through the whole thread (mostly) and couldnt find my question anywhere...

so here goes:

i pinched a nerve in my lower back earlier this year, and have subsequently taken my own chair to all the lan's ive attended since.

would it be okay if i brought my own chair through? its not the type to get in anybodies way, but just has some padding and is shaped to support my back.

This shouldnt be a problem. If it is ask someone at the registration desk to get hold of me and I will come and sort it out.

OK. I read the main post, and honestly it's a tad too long. I've seen previous Rage expos on your wonderful DVDs, and wanna attend this year's.
I only want a day pass though. So I see that it will cost R80 for a day, but the parking issue is a bit confusing. Am I right in saying that only those who buy weekend tickets from Computicket will be allowed to park their cars at the parking? Will we day visitors get another parking spot elsewhere? And the handing the security the Computicket slip sounds confusing (I'll buy the ticket at the entrance right? So I won't have one while looking for parking space). Do we pay for this? Please anybody answer me. I don't need a weekend ticket since I just wanna see what happens at Rage, and can only go on Saturday... with my busy life :(

Basically ignore everything youve read and just do this .... for you to come in to the Expo for one day will cost you R50. You buy your ticket at the door when you get there. Parking has been allocated for day visitors and is handled completely seprerately to the parking for the NAG LAN. So when you arrive at The Dome, you will be directed by either Metro Police or Security to the relevant parking areas for day visitors.
If youre still confused lemme know and I will explain in more detail :)

Allright, I know the question has already been asked about whether or not you can accompany a person into the BYOC area, but, and excuse me if I'm pushing it a bit with this, will this person accompanied in by you also be allowed to spend the night, given he/she stays by your side and under your supervision for the night?

NAG does not support piracy so they do not offer games on their server. Try DC++ on get games from your friend.

We just held the first official Interschools lanning event in South Africa, and were given ten VIP tickets. Five for our school and the others for the winning team in the event. anyhow,he just wishes to come and make sure they don't do anything illegal and give the parents ease of mind. Thanks in advance

We do not allow people to come and look around, its a security thing. If they meet up with you however, have a daypass, then you may accompany them inside. Use the main entrance for this, not the link to the expo.

When you go through registration ask one of the crew from VC to give you a parent pass and that will get your teacher in for a couple of hours. Alternatively if he wants to pop in every day during the weekend he should buy a weekend pass for R80 at the door.

Whatever games you plan on playing during the weekend you will need to have installed on your PC before you get there.

Yes girlfriends/friends are allowed provided they have purchased a weekend pass ticket at the door. And yes, for the safety of everyone else in the LAN you will need to 'supervise' them. Just be aware however that no extra seating is made available in the LAN so its likely they will be sitting on the floor or standing around, unless youre offering up your own seat ;)

I'm not sure about this - I dont want to say yes and then someone from VC doesnt allow it when you get there. But if you have the space in your car and you wanna take a chance then its your call.

If it can be ran of USB power alone you can bring it along, as it does not require additional power from a multiplug

If it just requires Internet for account authentication and then has a LAN multiplayer then you should be able to play it... as far as I know the internet conn. thats going to be at rAge will be for authentication purposes only
