Hmmm. Have you played Braid before, Cynikill? I think my choice for a puzzle game would be between those two. Shadow Complex looks very tempting as a second purchase.

Whoops, double post.
Edit: So, anymore recommendations/suggestions?

So I started playing online this week. First I got the strict NAT error, so I followed their instruction and just restarted my modem. Nat error gone, yet I can still barely join any lobbies. I get into 1 after trying about 5 if I'm lucky. Do you guys know what could be causing this? Is it just because I'm playing from SA with a bad line (384k), or is there something else I can sort out. The games I do get into, the ping is usually playable.
edit: just spent the last half hour trying to join Forza games. Couldn't get into one. If this is what its like then I really regret buying 12 months' membership.

If you have the same ****ty Telkom router as me, you'll have to port forward Live's ports to get open NAT. You can find a guide over on portforward.com. It was actually a bit more complicated for me, though. My router refuses to remember port forwards any more so I had to add my console's MAC address to the router's DHCP table. You shouldn't have that problem, though. Good luck.
I set up my IP and DNS exactly as I would on my PC, yet it refuses to connect to the internet.
So right now, I see that Bioshock DLC is at 50% off for gold members. Now I loved the first Bioshock but never finished the second. Is it worth buying the DLC for Bioshock 2 and then buying a second hand copy on Xbox?
The prices are as follows:
Bioshock 2 – Minerva's Den DLC 400 MSP
Bioshock 2 – The Protector Trials DLC 200 MSP
Bioshock 2 – Rapture Metro DLC 400 MSP
Bioshock 2 – Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack DLC 200 MSP
Minerva's Den alone is worth the price of Bioshock 2 + DLC. Great, tight story, and all the best things from Bioshock 2. I wouldn't bother with any of the other DLC.
Thanks Cleric. Curious though, is the DLC part of the main game or a separate campaign?
New completely separate campaign. You could buy Bioshock 2, never play it, only play Minerva's Den, and it is still money incredibly well spent.
It's probably already been mentioned, but The Dishwasher Vampire Smile is possibly the best downloadable game I have ever purchased, it is just simply amazing.
I believe I've raved about it here at least once. One of my favourite XBLA titles. :)
Guys... I am stumped :(
I bought my Xbox 360 S in 2010. Along with an HD VGA Cable. Now at the time I didn't have an HD screen to play on but was hoping that when I did get the screen the Xbox would just switch over to HD.
So now I got a 23" Full HD screen but my Xbox wont give me the settings for an HD screen. I have tried the initial set up. No dice. I have tried to search the interwebs but nothing about no HD settings.
So it has to be one of three things:
1 - The screen itself does not support 1080p or 1080i through VGA in that case I need to return it [it is still in the 10 day return window]
2 - The cable is faulty [However I am currently running the Xbox at 1920 x 1080]
3 - There is something that I am over looking.
Please help. I need this sorted ASAP so that I can return the monitor if need be. The connections at the back are VGA and HDMI [PC is connected to the HDMI]. Monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster S23B370
Thanks guys.
Edit: Ok I tried it on my 32" TV [which is 1080p] which also didn't give me the option for HD settings. So either both screens dont allow HD over VGA or the cable is not actually an HD cable. So that solved nothing :(
The monitor doesnt support HD over VGA

Happy Wars is a F2P game on XBLA. It's cute and also addictive. Almost like Battlefield only with swords and pointy objects.
Spelunky and Rock Band Blitz are on sale for 600MSP a piece, as well as a bunch of other things including Darksiders 2 and Forza 4 DLC. This is perfect timing for me, considering I almost bought Spelunky yesterday afternoon. Good thing I waited until today.
There's also apparently big 1 day sales on Black Friday and whatever they call next Monday. Saving the rest of my points for then. Maybe Mark of the Ninja will go sale? One can only hope...
Hey everyone, can you recommend me if it is worth buying a Xbox Live golden account? Is the online gaming worth it?
Yes, it is worth it. There's actually a rather big South African community which do regular play-sessions and events on the Xbox-360 RSA community, so go check it out.
