New 1TB HDD bought so I can have my full compliment of MP games installed ahead of time (spent too much time installing last year). Also got a nice new 24" Samsung LCD to replace my beloved LG 17", who served me so well over the years.

pre-rAge is this weekend so I'll be able to test all my games and make sure that the firewall software plays nice.

Was thinking of getting a spare 1TB drive just for "space" backup.

This year will be almost the same as every year for me , with a few minor differences.

1 - I make a check list with the most important stuff to remember for Rage , like PC components , ticket , cables etc etc.

2 - I compile a document consisting of traveling routes , the checklist , a blueprint of the dome inside and parking areas , expenses and also a buy list of things I need to buy at the expo.

3 - Organizing transportation , this is already done.

4 - The week before Rage I always plan my sleep. On the Wednesday night , I would go sleep really late , lets say 3-4 am , then , Thursday morning wake up early , like at 7 or 8 , and then buy the afternoon I should be tired enough to fall asleep at lets say 5- 6 pm. In this situation I would sleep till about 12 or 1 am the Friday , where I will pack my stuff and leave to arrive real early at rage.

5 - I will be lanning a week before rage. During this week and that lan , I will make sure that all is well with my computer and games etc. I will also take my essential recovery discs to rage , as a precaution.

Also , I keep my Ticket inside my case so that it doesn't get lost during the 2 months of waiting and lanning.

Well the pre-rAge weekend was okay.

I realised that people who use pirated copies of games... pi$$ me off!
I do not mind the gamer who has the original, installs it and uses a "utility" to play the game with out the need of the DVD/CD. I understand. But when you show up and first ask around "so who's got a hacked copy of ABC game"... I wanna just rule #2 you! and don't b1tch when the crack for the game clashes with your cracked Windows 7.

Hi Pulse, Yeah could have been me I was there with my youngest daughter and my double bed matt... err Super Sized group think pad. I agree with the guys about originals, I am taking 2 kids to rAge and tjhey have the originals of the games they want to play. Of course there is no going away for December holidays, but at least every copy of Windows and every game on all our machines is original, considering there are 6 machines at home, but only 4 of them are gaming machines.

By the way any of you guys that are getting there early, i'd appreciate a spot in line (tongue in cheek) we are about 15 guys in our group, Thanks All. Can't wait,i am sure the second hand on the clock is moving slower, oh well, see you there...

haha, im getting there between 5:30am and 6am depending on traffic, im also going to be in a massive group between 9 and 12 people, did you sit upstairs last year, across from a scruffy looking red head guy (thats me), if not then you not who i think you are :P

Set money aside for specials! Getting the PC ready for 3 days of hard gaming (includes backup and recovery! Know too many people that crashed then took hours finding people to help)!

Now that i got MW2 ive been practicing online and getting myself looking anti-n00b, got a quick LAN at my place with my mates and then the next and overnight LAN all in prep for NAG LAN

Well MW2 requires you to also play online like SC2 so think they might not allow that.
