While it's a beautiful idea, I feel there is a huge flaw in it.

When you negative rep someone it should remain anonymous. Like Chevron told me, it's nice to know why you were neg repped but the problem with sending your name with the reason is that it just starts flame wars. Debate on why you did such an action generally seems to degrade to "WHY THE HELL DID YOU NEG REP ME YOU RETARD ******* GO SUCK YOURSELF".

Do users get told when someone +reps their post? If so, in fairness, that should be changed to anonymous, too.


I can see the reason behind it, but in practice it just doesn't work. The reason stated by the user says it all as to why the neg rep was given and debating it out won't take away the negative rep, anyway, it just leads things into an ugly fight.
