Admittedly, I'm a geek. I'm a bigger geek than most people I know. I love the Doctor Who series and I've been watching it in between writing columns. For those of you who know the theme tune, however, you might want to look at this.
Yes, the video above shows a set of eight floppy drives performing the tune of the opening of the show. There are many examples of people using these old floppy drives for music. There's one for Skyrim's opening doen by the same guy, as well as other popular hit songs and video game soundtracks. Give MrSolidSnake745's page a visit, won't you? Its the coolest thing I've ever seen.
GAIZ!!! Am I the only one commenting on this? It's frigging awesome, I hope it's the marketing for a new movie or something, it'll be awesome! On the same note, there's a "Bitterroot" movie in the "In Development" department on IMDB for release 2013/2014...
I've seen that on IMDB as well, but it's not related to the Bitterroot footage. It's about a cowboy or something that was scammed.
An anonymous electrical and systems engineer who calls himself "Dan", nicknamed by the internet as "Scotty", has uploaded plans and details of how we could build a full-scale version of the starship USS Enterprise that takes us to the Red Planet in ninety days. And all with technology currently available to us.
Just go onto Youtube and search for Teahupoo, there are some sick wipeouts that show just how dangerous the break is. Add to that the fact that it has become one of the most popular big wave breaks so there are usually a lot of guys out there, along with camera crews and jetskis. The front side of the wave is less than a meter deep as it's just off a reef, and due to the step, you get that massive thick wave that comes through as a perfect barrel. Well perfect in every sense except for the fact that it weighs a few tons when it comes down on you. If you guys dig this stuff, you have to check out Riding Giants. Pretty much the history of big wave riding, and seeing what these guys were doing in the 40's and 50's is just amazing. And for some local flavour, if you are in Cape Town a little birdie has been mentioned in hushed tones recently, poised to make a return. It has the name of Red Bull something or other....
