I Don't think its as bad as everyone is making it out to be, i thought the SP storyline and mission sequence were very believable compared to MW2. As for BC2, I haven't played it yet so i cant say whether it is better or not. The MP is nice, nothing wrong with it except there are NEVER any SA servers full with players (maybe i'm just not looking in the right places, maybe i should wait for more people to get the game?) Otherwise it's constant deathstreaks due to unplayable lag, which i hardly ever experience in MW2.

So, while i thought the storyline and gameplay of SP was great and on par (IMO) in comparison to MW2, the MP is slower but in some ways its more realistic like that, and thats kind of the point of FPS games like these . . realism. None of this "silent footsteps", "sprinting forever", "increased melee distance" and those effing pavelows, chopper gunners and Nukes which are all just stupid in MW2.

In saying all that though, I still seem to get more of a kick out of MW2 online than from MoH . . . Maybe i just have yet to get into the game completely or maybe its all the latency issues, but for now MW2 still takes up most of my spare time.

But that's the point. No one is saying that it's bad. It is a totally average war shooter, with moments of great, but many more moments of meh.

In all honesty, I think if it didn't carry the iconic MoH badge, and wasn't as hyped as it was, people would be more charitable toward it. On the flip side though, maybe the MoH name is giving it undeserved notoriety.

I'm still going to get it, but I'm going to get Black Ops first. After reading the reviews, I'm starting to think this will be a discounted purchase.

All this "realism" is dull though. Compared to even COD4, MOH just feels flat. It's not bad, and is even fun, but without all the cool toys and stuff to keep me interested, you're just left with a bunch of people running around a map trying to shoot each other. MOH does have a few extra bits and pieces, and would've been great if it came out four years ago, but I think we've all moved past this point now, whereas MOH is only just catching up.

I do agree with this point. So what's next then? Bulletstorm? CoDBO? Battlefield 3? They all look really promising but i'm slowly getting over the CoD franchise altogether, due to overexposure and being overplayed most probably, and Black Ops just seems too similar to MW and MW2 from what i've seen on YouTube and heard about in written previews . . I need something new. But improving upon one of the best selling online FPS in history; not easy. I'm personally looking forward to Battlefield 3. I've always been a Battlefield fanboy (even though I haven't played BC2 yet *tear*).

    Just my two cents.

Does anybody know how to add servers manually by IP address?

I keep thinking to myself what were EA thinking? The multiplayer is built on the frostbite engine which is a different engine to the single player's unreal engine. This seems pointless since MOH isn't fully utilizing the map destructability of frostbite so why not just use ureal 3 throughout? I also don't see why in the sp you can go prone and slide into cover but cannot do the same in the mp. It feels like the two modes don't gel together except for the inclusion of dudes in beards and sunglasses. I know the developers tried to nail the whole realistic thing but realistic doesn't always equal fun in my opinion. Most MOH mp matches are spent hiding behind a wall praying that one of the 12 snipers on the other team don't spot you from the other side of the map. All in all I feel that this game was a rather pointless exercise where EA tried to jump on the band wagon of military shooters by dusting off a popular franchise and push it onto shelves as fast as possible by giving it to two studios at once.

You know, the CoD developers just have that x-factor that makes all their FPSes brilliant, regardless of setting. EA tried with MoH it seems, but failed in some ways (although thankfully not miserably). I guess the game is a good example of the path EA are taking with this series. I personally believe that their next title may be a CoD killer if they learn from this example. They should be commended on this title, but I honestly think this is a bargain bin title.
