Tell us about your Rage 2010 experience

This years rAge was excellent! To me the expo actually increased in quality vs the previous two years that had a downward spiral. They tended much more stands and interests. The LAN was perfect! Didn't have a single time of lag and/or disconnects. The DC server made everything soo much stabler to share and the games were awesome as always.
Thanks to all the organizers and NAG crew, you guys were the best by all measurements!!!

Its an overall downward spiral. The NAG stand was just a perfect example - in my opinion - of the lack of attraction towards the expo. The '06 and '07 expos had an awesome atmosphere that used to buzz with excitement. This years one was rather bland and uninspired. Its as if the organizers just went in with the mindset "Lets just get this over with", and didn't actually give it any extra thought.

To me it seems Rage has boiled down to a LAN with an ad-hoc expo that just doesn't display anything worthwhile. Sure, there are stands demonstrating new things such as Kinect and Move, but the exhibitors just never seem to come to the party anymore. I'm also beginning to wonder if Tide Media is contemplating just taking the expo away and making it a rather large LAN.

I've only attended the last two Rage expos, so my opinion isn't as informed as yours, and I completely agree with you here. The organizers need to seriously weigh the comments of the people who attended the LAN against those who only visited the expo.
The appeal of the expo has been reduced to the point where I will probably not attend again unless I hear of something happening there that I simply can't miss. As far as the LAN goes, I would probably enjoy meeting up with such a large number of people purely to game for a few days. But on the other hand I just don't feel like going through the trouble of lugging my PC to a place so far from home where I will be without the luxuries I have here...
(Now that could be because I am lazy or getting old or a bit of both)

On a more positive note; I was really surprised to see the team from ArenaNet there showing off some of Guild Wars 2 (and a bit disappointed that they didn't care to mention this on their Twitter feed, although this might just show how much international companies care for Rage?)
And trying to continue on the positive, I enjoyed meeting DJV at the NAG stand. Ii just wish I had a bit more time to chat to him, he looks like a really nice guy.
Oh yeah, BT Games had a few decently priced games, I bought Prototype and Mass Effect (both for PC) for a total of R130. That was pretty cool.

So to end off, at the moment the positive things regarding Rage aren't enough to get me excited about future expos...

Comes to show how stupid some people can be. It was 2AM, damn it. Who in their right mind would say you are in the way?

I wasen't there in 2010 but i wil surly go this year i heard just good storys about it. Hope it is all true what they sayed. Well i just have 2 wait to see. Can't wait for rAGE this year

We all know that DC is a big part of rage, WHY DONT YOU GUYS RUN a GB network? If you do that, alot of guys and girls will download alot faster and will have more time for gaming.... Maybe you should sell GB tickets at a higher price and just section that area... Just an idea =)
