Langeveldt is great, but Rusty is one for the future. If CSA is willing to drop Boucher, then Langeveldt didn't stand a chance.

Thats horrible, I was at a match in PE once, and I've been to just about every cricket ground in the country. There is NO atmosphere like in PE anywhere in the country!

I also go every year, going to the opening match next week Friday (Cape Cobras VS Nashua Titans). Sucks for PE only having one match in the Pro20, hope CSA thinks about hosting more matches in PE soon. :)

I know, PE's just about the only place that seels out for local cricket. I've missed 2 PE games since the Warriors were created as a franchises, but there just isn't that much cricket. Also the franchise tries to 'fair' and shares everything equally with East London. It's lead to 4 000 people watching the Warriors winning the MTN 40 in EL and 17 000 wating them win the Pro 20 in PE.

Tonights game sold out yesterday and as much as we need the rain in PE we also need to get a win , so please rain today but stop for the game.

Well game 4 is on today. I reckon South Africa will win it, or at least I hope. If they do win then it will set the final game up to be the decider which will be very interesting. Can't wait

If we can even get a game today. There's been cloud cover and it's been drizziling since yesterday. :(

I really hope that they can play today(even though that area desperatly needs the rain) cause this is a must win situation , would love to watch sundays game with the series tied .It will be a nailbaiter then :)

I was thinking about it this morning. Wouldn't it be better if the ICC were to move the game up country when they know there will be rain on a day that is meant to rain in the area where the game is meant to be played. At least there will then be a game and money from ticket sales can be made.

Eg if it rains in PE today then they should rather fly to Cape Town or somewhere where there is good weather so it can happen.

I know its a schlep but it would be so much better if it were possible

Going back in time, I watched the ODI between SA and AUS again, where SA had to beat 433 runs. I have very fond memories of that particular game.

In that particular game, it was raining runs in the SA innings. I couldn't help but notice the Indians in the stands, cheering SA on. It got me thinking, why do they cheer India on when India play against SA? Where is the sense of(what is the word I'm looking for?) patriotism?

    Thoughts?

Well a lot of people will support any team that plays against Australia because they just don't like that team and any team that beats them is better then the team they hate.

Moving a match at on a few days notice is a virtual no go. You would need to get another pitch prepared at the new venue, new travel arrangements, hotels, and then try to get ticketing done. Also, CT is also a difficult option, since the Newlands Rate Payers Association don't allow cricket and rugby on the same weekend, so any Stormers or WP match would cause it to be unavailable.

Aus scored 434 in their innnings, in Aus they still called it the 434 game, while the rest of the world calls it the 438 game. :)

As for Indian fans, well Indian people in general have kept more of their culture than other immigrants to SA. They feel a greater connection to India than people of other races feel to the countries from which their ancestors came.

Well then another venue, maybe if the ICC could have a ground that is on standby should a ground be rained out. Then the pitch in the standby ground can be prepared in case it happens. A game is better then no game is the way I see it especially if its a game in say the ICC world cup or champions trophy.

I wonder if Indians feel more connected to SA because of Ghandi?

For tournements there are reserve days for knockout matches. Even if you had a ground on stand you'd still have the travel and ticketing problems. I see rain outs as just another quirk in cricket.

Not bad recovery, Duminy played brilliantly. I have to make a plan to watch some cricket in PE. I love that band.

265/7 for those who missed it. Well done Duminy and Botha and Peterson on the recovery. We have a decent chance now :)

I was watching some of the highlights now and I saw some controversial wickets for South Africa, namely AB De Villiers and Morne van Wyk.
