Scrubs is the best series ever made. No discussion necessary. It's just that awesome.
Agreed, i have watched the reruns of season 5 and 6 off of sony channel so many times it's actually rediculous but i swear to god every time i watch em i laugh harder, trying to get my hands on season 3 at the moment.

only other shows that i watch are Futurama and how i met your mother, still on season 5 of that at the moment and i am enjoying it quite a bit :)

    Big Bang Theory
Can't get enough of it.Busy watching season 2 of the show! :D

    Nip\Tuck
Just finished watching season 5 I think and I am kinda scarred for life!

    My Names Earl
Not bad but it to me is past its' watch by date.

    Chuck
Fun to watch but kinda lame in some way.

    Supernatural
Busy watching the re-runs of season 4 and thoroughly enjoy it!

    My Family
This season of the show isn't that funny anymore.Look it can be funny as it has been but something is missing. It could be that the oldest, stupid son Nick isn't there anymore and in his place is Alfie who kinda sucks and feels out of place.

To be honest, I don't watch Scrubs for the humour alone. These is some really visible character development over the seasons. It's also one of the few shows that can get away with so many 'important' characters and back-stories without feeling tacked on.

I'm busy working through all the episodes again and have just finished season 5. Episodes 20 and 21 have to be some of the most emotionally stirring things I've seen. This is when Dr Cox accidentally kills three patients by giving them organs from someone that died of rabies, because he didn't want to wait for an autopsy. Heck, it's the closest I've got to crying in a very long time.

Big Bang Theory: One of the most original sitcoms I've seen in a long time.

Scrubs: Despite what others have said, I still thing it's an excellent, funny show (although I don't think I've seen any of the latest seasons.)

South Park: Busy watching it on my computer. I've only watched the first two seasons, but it's funny as hell so far.

Naruto: Also watching it on my computer. I've only seen the first few episodes, but it seems to be a pretty good series.

I'm going to be renting Fringe and Lost one of these days as well.

that's harsh... but ok, to each their own. Obviously not everyone share's your sentiment, else they wouldn't be on to season 5 and going strong.

How has this thread gone for two pages without one mention of Breaking Bad? Its without a doubt the most well written, well shot and well acted series of the past.... well.... ever in my opinion.

The characters are some of most well developed in the history of American television and it retains a light-heartedness that is so often ignored in modern TV shows. The cinematography is without a doubt the best I've seen outside of a film. If you haven't watched this show yet, please start NOW.

I see your "Breaking Bad" and raise you "The Wire".

    From Wikipedia:
Despite never seeing a large commercial success or winning major television awards, The Wire has been described by many critics as the greatest television series ever made.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
    Yep, that's 6 citations.

I'm not someone to hype any piece of entertainment. I usually gently recommend something and let people see if they like it for themselves. But I do find that lately people are very loathe to try something unless it is oversold to them.

(Oh, and yeah, it's one of those that you have to start from the 1st episode of the 1st season.)

    I find this humorous.

The British version of the Office was definitely superior, in my eyes. It was more "real", which is what made it. Hell, when I first saw it, I couldn't tell if it was real or not, initially. It's "realism" made it more authentic, that there really could be a boss like this, out there somewhere - and all the emotions and feelings that kind of "reality" invoke.

American version of The Office was more sitcomy, more transparent, it was much easier to see that it was fake (actually, it was hard to think it was "real" at all) and the humour was more obvious to the viewer.

But hey, people have differing tastes.

I've been meaning to do a screening marathon of this. Trust him when he says that it's the best thing ever.

Okay, Now I know this will bring on huge amounts of riducule, but Glee. Oh my God I am such a ****ing Gleek. I Don't know why the show gets such a bad rep. It's good fun and has some really funny moments and often very subtle humor.

But yea, I'm also watching House, HIMYM and Futurama, but mostly glee.

    let the gay jokes commence...

The only thing I'm currently watching is The Mentalist season 3 which is kind of dull due to the lack of any Red John action.

Anyway, what I wanted to know is, is The IT Crowd similar to The Big Bang Theory? I have never heard of it.

I don't watch much TV since Lost is done. :(
