Get it from Incredible Connection if you have a Gaming Inc. membership. If you don't sign up, it's free. Pre-order a game from them then, pay R10 more than you would from anywhere else and get free shipping plus 13GB of cap upon delivery of the game. Did it with DNF, and the cap was the only thing I wasn't sad about. I'll definitely pre-order from them again. If you need more details, feel free to PM Cranky. He may not always spell the best, but he's friendly and helpful and willing to go through a lot to make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

THis is gonna bury Call of Duty. No offense, but facts are facts. It's prettier, it looks more fun and it doesn't have office politics.

Uhm, actually, if you take a closer look, EA are the ones acting like adolescent twats, while Activision are being mature. EA's entire attitude ****es me off. They don't miss a chance to slag off Activision.

What's even better, the same people who spat fire because of Dragon Age 2 earlier this year, are now backing EA in this childish crusade.

You're forgetting that CoD has a fanbase of almost 4 times larger than BF. BF's all time sales stand at a respectable 26 million copies, but it's quite literally dwarfed by the 96 million that is CoD's. BF3 may change the number of sales when directly compared to MW3, but you have to remember that CoD has a bigger fanbase and as such the sales will inevitably be higher. BF3's DX10 minimum requirement isn't helping it along either, and although it does mean orgasmic graphics (I know I'm going to try it out) there are still many, many players without DX10~DX11 compatible systems, and many of them aren't ready to fork out R2,000 for a new OS (nobody is going to purchase Vista) simply to be able to roll a new game.

Sorry to barge in like this, but my biggest gripe so far with BF3 is the frame-rate. Now we haven't really seen how all the platforms will run but the best thing about MW is that runs like butter, on every platform. It is that smooth gameplay that makes me go back and replay the SP campaign. BF:BC2 on the other hand was a bit slower, which I think will happen to BF3.

Don't get me wrong. I love the CoD franchise, but without the two big hitters, it's pretty much in the dark. All I wanted to say is that it could be a hit or a miss. Also Call of Duty is starting to make the same mistake that Guitar Hero made. Every year a CoD is also not good. On top of that, if it's coming out in October/November it's gonna have competition because we have Diablo3/Uncharted 3/Star Wars: The Old Republic, etc.etc that are coming out about or just after the same time.

I know my choice of words were a bit harsh, but I'm having a bad feeling people will not be entirely satisfied.

FFS people, can we stop talking about COD? This thread is for Battlefield.

    :/

Well the reason it runs like butter is cuz it uses a 12year old gfx engine (quake 3). I know, I know you are like WHAT, but its true its been so heavily modified its 99.999% new but I bet there are still some quake 3 code in there.

But then I really don't give a **** since it runs like butter and looks really good.

Sorry, I was trying to praise Battlefield, but some people got touchy about what I said about "you-know-who".

    Lord Voldemort? ;P

I know you were giving praise to Battlefield, pal. Just don't want this to spiral into a COD vs. BF thread.

They already said the console versions will run at 30fps. With regards to the PC version there's still time left for optimizations. As already was said, MW3 is using a modified older engine.
