Thread: Assassin's Creed Revelations

    (Applause and drum roll)

I finished the game tonight. And words can ONLY begin to describe how I feel about the ending.
I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, I'm just going to say it involves some very striking and touching scenes together with the amazingly cruel and sadistic ending Ubisoft is known for by now. ( Thank you, Ubisoft. We play these games because we're secretly masochists, and enjoy being driven to the point where we cannot wait for the next AC. ) That's sarcasm, just for future reference.

    P.S. Goosebumps all over....

    THE ENTIRE MEDITERRANEAN IS MINE.

Now I can finally stop obsessing about this minigame and get on with the story.

So I decided to struggle on with this awkward, Frankenstein game. Just doing the main quest, I refuse to do another "Den Defense", it's the biggest crap ever. I'm also totally not interested in making stupid bombs of any kind.

This time, you pick-pocket with your legs instead of your empty hand, (LOL) you Eagle Vision with the left stick instead of your eyes, and you acquire keys from dead bodies without even touching them. The hook-blade is weird, Ezio can scale a five meter gap, but he refuses to jump two meters. The targeting system is buggered, and you have to pump the left trigger to target. (thanx Onona) The glitching is totally overdone, to the point of being painful. I also have no clue what to do on cannabis Island.

Shows you what happens when too many people collaborate on a project...it becomes a total mess.

I haven't played the game myself but it seems like you're looking for excuses not to enjoy the game.

Admittedly, it did take me a good three hours or so to really get into the game. I'm loving it now but I don't blame people for getting frustrated or even bored initially.

...and then, the achievement unlocked. "Craft Maniac", it said. HUH??? Was that ME? Well, I just started dabbling out of curiosity, and before I knew it, I had crafted 30 bombs!

Must admit that halfway through, this game grabs you by the balls with some awesome cinematic sequences, and doesn't let go...

Nope, this is the final chapter, and it's well worth getting. However, you need to have played the first game to really enjoy this one, especially the ending....simply brilliant.

(It's an interview about Revelations, but it also tells us more)

I saw this interview with one of the guys at Ubisoft, where he explained that this is JUST the end for Ezio en Altair's story. Assassin's Creed 3 is next, and with a new Assassin. (Dun... dun... dun...)

They need to finish this franchise before the end 2012. You guys know why. ;)

In other words, he unofficially confirmed the next game. :P
    (If that makes any sense)

Alright spent a ****load of time with this yesterday and as a AC nut I'm in heaven.
    Love the setting.
Hookblade is the best item since the gun.
I am addicted to the bombs.
    Den Defense a great addition.
    Eagle sense is finally useful.
And the best part is that the combat seems more challenging.
    The Mediterranean is almost mine!!!

All in all best AC jet.

Well my competition copy has arrived :P Dont you just love comps ;)
How is the multiplayer in SA? I cant seem to find any games on XBL SA... I wanna migrate back to UK.

The multiplayer from what I can see from the introductory sessions seems a tad more refined than the one in Brotherhood. I am not gonna start the single player till I am fully satisfied with finishing Brotherhood.

The multiplayer takes a while to find a match. Anything from 1-5 minutes in my experience. Although there was a time I couldn't find any. I haven't experienced any other problems. It's your choice, but I would continue trying finding sessions on your SA account. Let me know when you want to play online. :D

Question to the people that is finished or busy playing the game:
What are you guys thinking about the Desmond Memories inside the Animus? I can't really decide about them. I love the background info about Desmond nevertheless.

I found it interesting, but quite tedious. Haven't finished any of them. Do they unlock any SP rewards? If so, I'll try to get into them again.

The best part of the game so far, for me, was memory sequence 7.
    What a rush.

Just completed all the Master Assassin missions, so no more Den Defence for me (although I only had to do it three times in total, and that includes the tutorial). Attempting to control the Meditarranean (about 60% done I would say), get more collectables, finish Sofia missions, and THEN.... the main story can continue.
