I wondered what happened to good old 47. I don't quite get how they deduce that it will be hitman from what they said but maybe that's just me.

As I said with my Lara Croft opinion, you can't make another Hitman game without Agent 47. He'll always be the badass, cold-blooded killer we know and love. Hope the game can keep with what we know and love.

That's like saying they will never make a Halo without Master Chief. It seems absurd, but it's not entirely impossible.

Well, what I'm saying is that if a certain character has always been used for a certain game and then vanished for no apparent reason then the game will probably be a whole lot different to what we're used to. It's like making Arkham Asylum without Batman.

Because in one of the endings in Hitman: Blood Money, Agent 47 is dead and cremated.

I have no doubt that they would continue with that ending. I just brought it up as it was the only reason I could think of why Xperimance would have thought a new Hitman would be sans Agent 47.

It would be easy for them to create a Hitman game without Agent 47, and I am sure it would still sell like there is no tomorrow. But it just wouldn't be... Hitman. It wouldn't have that charm, that bond that you develop as you play the game. I am sure they know this, so chances are good that they will go with the alternate ending. They even set it up for another game with the closing cutscene.

If they keep him or not, I am still going to get this game. Hitman holds a special place in my heart.

You kill everyone on the map then sit on a bench. Cue credits and then a trailer or teaser appears for a hitman in china/japan

At least 47 has been confirmed to be in the game, which means it's a sequel of Blood Money! :)

Shot in the dark: The fact that the trailer is titled "Hitman Absolution: is to my mind an indication that the new game will follow the events of the previous Hitman games.
