Uh-huh. Now you're ignoring my point.

In Diablo 2, any progression without farming usually meant you had fairly decent gear. Progressing without farming in Diablo 3 is going to ensure you've got shoddy gear.

Your high horse. Get off it. Or I'll start nom'ing its kneecaps.

All right you two. This has been going on for the better part of 2 pages (feels like) and we're all aware that neither of you will give ground to the other. Diablo 3 is ****, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't. The AH is ****, no it isn't, yes it is.... it's getting a bit long in the tooth.

I have earned the right to feed my horse any damn drugs I choose so don't come here with French tendencies.

Do you remember Diablo 2? I replayed it a while back and mobs dropped pretty **** gear, 9/10 time they dropped **** gear and once in a while they dropped something worthwhile. Even more blue moon were drops that were at your character's level. Now that's motivation for replaying. Diablo doesnt have all that much going for it. The gameplay is super repetitive and the only thing that differs in play-throughs is difficulty and the level of **** you collect. Now Bliz wants you to spend lots of time in the game so making you farm for decent gear almost exactly like they did in D2 achieves just that. And once again for lazy *******s they added the tl;df Auction House. Because some people used character editors in D2, this is just a legit way to cheat. Which is essentially what you do when you buy things. You never needed to buy anything. You can play Diablo 3 and imagine its just a pretty Diablo 2 (Without the hot key swap for weapon configs which I really really miss). If the experience still leaves you jaded go play Titan Quest again (With the expansion) and learn just what grinding really is.

Yes you're probably right. I mean we shouldn't be debating things on a forum that's not what they're for at all.

That's not what I mean and you know it. For almost a whole page you and zoop have been throwing the same arguments at each other over and over again. That's not what a forum is for. I know that's what a lot of people use internet forums for but that's what makes those forums ****. Nobody likes reading two retards alternately wacking each other over the head with the same wooden cudgel. Over and over and over.

Er, axes aren't really great weapons. They tend to be slow to attack and they have average dps at any level. You should probably sell it on the AH and make some gold.

I concede; your overwhelming opinion has driven me off my soapbox and into a corner for a time out. How could I be so foolish? I am now aware that my actions have caused nothing short of discomfort in all the other members of this forum and I'm weeping quietly inside for this travesty of proper internet conduct. Can you ever forgive me. I mean you have the authority to imply that I'm simply a retard swinging a wooden club then you must be someone I should take very seriously. And of course this comment is related to the thread so I should respond in kind and keep the thread well oiled and entertaining for all. My tenderest apologies for this slight upon your person. May you have a thousand sons and may they each worship you for your triumph over idiocy today.

This is retarded. If you guys can't argue the points, then just give up and move along. This ****-flinging sarcasm circus is boring.

I thought you still believed this which is why I asked. So you've changed your tune then?

Blizzard has sine denied that. I'm not sure whether to believe it or not, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding the matter.

Which was why I asked, they said AH does not affect the loot tables at all, but as you said whether true or not we will never know.

It's actually a pity I don't have the game yet because I really can't comment on whether the drops are as bad as people make it out to be.

I would really like to try a "No-AH" character.

You crazy? XD TQ was probably one of the least grindy games about. :P

I might finish D3 someday, but for me, it's still overshadowed by D2. Story-wise and gameplay-wise.

Exams are over, and I finally started playing. The game was easy enough to install, even signing up for a battle.net account wasn't hard. Still in act 1, and the only thing that feels weird is playing with only the mouse, maybe it's a barbarian thing. Haven't has an issue with the online stuff, no huge lag spikes yet. Anyway, my battle tag is crazydude#2725

Jesus. Blizzard really is on a mission to make themselves the most hated game devs of all time these last few weeks.

We’ve extensively tested for false positive situations, including replicating system setups for those who have posted claiming they were banned unfairly. We’ve not found any situations that could produce a false positive, have found that the circumstances for which they were banned were clear and accurate, and we are extremely confident in our findings.

Playing the game on Linux, although not officially supported, will not get you banned – cheating will.
    The official response.

This **** is just pathetic. They have banned paying customers. If Blizzard continues this, they are pretty much ****ed when it comes to Diablo 3.

I also imagine all Linux players doing this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0...eature=related

Diablo 3, to me at least, seems like one giant money scam from Blizzard. They take one of the most anticipated games of all times and they release it. It sells faster than they can count and dollars start rushing past their eyes. Now that everyone and their dog has bought the game, they begin to screw people over. Introducing the RMAH (I know it was announced before release), patching items people have already paid for, banning Linux users and a whole host of other things. The problem now, is that Blizzard has already gotten their million dollar cheques, now they can do what they want to Diablo and no one can do anything about it.

Its bull****, Blizzard has completely lost the plot. I will never buy another blizzard game until they sort their **** out, and thank goodness I never bought Diablo 3. There are plenty alternatives out there (Titans Quest, Torchlight, Grim Dawn, etc.) that will quench my thirst for RPG's.

Even Star Craft 2 was a cash in (never bought it either) releasing the 3 campaigns separately. Say what you will about the quality of the campaigns, the only thing written on the white board when they were were discussing it was dollar signs

Let's not forget Diablo I and II (with LOD). I'm just finishing Diablo I now, then I'm off to Diablo II (again) and after that I'm selling my PC.

I already read the plot on the wiki. From what I read in reviews and from what I was told, the plot isn't a major part of Diablo III and that's all I really cared for anyway.

Now 500+ hours of playing this game,
    Killed Diablo in Inferno,
    Got allmost all the Achievments,
    Got many lvl 60 Characters....
Hundreds of hours of farming and grinding....

Now I'll quit playing this game.
NOW? Now he's going to stop playing this game? Holy crap, I know you can't compare it to Diablo 2 which has been around forever and has been re-installed so many times we've all lost count (I just re-installed it last night actually) but 500+ hours and NOW he's bored? R500/500=R1 per hour of game time. That's not too bad.

Spent thousands of Euros on a Brand New State of the Art Gaming PC,
    Panasonic Viera Flatscreen HD TV,
Expensive Desk and Leather Directors Chair,
    100 Euro Keyboard,
Steel Series Diablo Mouse and Mouse Pad,
Expensive Speakers, Sound and Bass unit,
And a Expensive new PC Desk..
Not to Mention the game itself.

All of this equipment not sits idle and does not get used.
I know that diablo 3 suffers on replay value because of certain changes that Blizzard made. That's obvious. But if you're going to buy a mountain of **** just for one game then I will officially dub you 'retarded'. Seriously, get a life. Get a clue. Get something. Diablo 3 was never going to need all that anyway. I think somebody hyped themselves up too much, expecting the second coming, and now he's all sour grapes because he's a ****ing idiot.

The game might be flawed and I personally can't even stand the idea of it, but this guy needs help. In fact, it's people like this that are part of the reason Diablo 3 is what it is. Good job guy. You played right into Blizzard's pocket (literally) and now you're blaming them for your own idiocy.

Edit: Oh, and I just realized that's just the first part of his first post. He goes on and on for a massive wall of text that I honestly haven't seen since that time I looked at timecube.
