Like we did not know it was going to happen

Diablo III's Game Breaking Bug: Error 3006
    http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mis...ug-error-3006/

Ja wat ima just wait until blizzard fix all there post launch mess and then buy it. These days there is rarely a game without post release issues (Looks at Rage; almost 90% playable; will try and fix at the end of the month).

If anything I have learned not to buy/play games on release day just setting yourself up for hours of updating and fixing problems.

So Diablo 3 is pretty much exactly the same as the Beta, in regards to what people were hoping were going to change/stay the same. So a small apologetic wink to those hoping/expecting the final release product to be different - it's uncommon that that's the case.

So far, my experience of the lag has been similar to my Beta experience as well.

Awww, mine's only scheduled to arrive between 3 and 5pm tomorrow. :(

Might as well throw my initial impressions onto the pile.

Just played for about an hour, intended to jump in and play around on my own for a bit but then got mobbed by a few friends. Not that I really mind, but I was sort of expecting they'd at least need to ask before joining my game.

I had a ping of around 340 and it felt like it. Not an issue, but slightly noticeable. I can get used to it and I'm sure after a week I won't even notice it.

Rolled a monk, he certainly did feel very powerful. I scoffed a few potions during boss battles but I'm not even sure I had to, just wanted to be safe. I was out-damaging the two WDs in the group without too much effort. I have to say, I'm not chuffed with the way the weapons work, for the Monk, at least. His abilities seem to all have their own animations so when I use my basic attack skill, he punches. Not a major issue but it does seem lazy to not animate all of the abilities with weapons. I have a couple of neat weapons equipped but I have no way of knowing if I'm actually using them. The skills are represented in a way that's too simplistic for my tastes.

Also, give me an "appear offline" or at least "invite only" option for my games (not sure if the second one is there or not, actually, but I didn't notice such a thing). And I want voice chat, goddamnit. How is this a thing that's still not natively supported?

For those who are playing, I was just wondering if those of you playing with the monk thinks he is somewhat overpowered, compared to let's say the demonhunter? I was playing as the Monk, he as the demonhunter, and the monk would just go toe-to-toe with dozens of monsters and kick ass, whereas he could easily be overwhelmed (I understand the hunter is more of a range character, but it sems sp will be very hard with him/her)

I have the i7 Macbook pro and it runs perfectly.
I'm playing the monk and I'm currently at level 24. I am in act 3 and constantly getting schooled by elite packs that simply put up a strong offensive. Morters and Pestilent groups absolutely eat me for breakfast if I'm not cheesing them by constantly kiting so my Sorc follower can pelt them down.

Wow, this game is way overpriced. Anyway, I bought it, got home, power is out. What a wonderful country you all live in.

Guess I'll play it tomorrow, if I can be bothered (I actually have no excitement for this game at all, just kind of figured, "eh, why not?").

    Anyone else have this issue?

Nothing really on the support forums (tried the few suggestions to no avail), except that saffas are mostly complaining about it.

    Edit - Basically this thread.

If you try to delete that temp cache yourself, does it work?

Tried several times. :( If I try re-installing without deleting it, the installer just sits on 0%.
If I delete it, I get to 5% and then the same error again.

Nope, never encountered this problem when installing D3. Turn your UAC off, delete Diablo 3 folder then try again.

If the installer stucks at #%, that means the installer is downloading something. Just leave it. Mine was at 1% for about 20 minutes (cos my line speed is as slow as a pregnant snail).

Right now, D3 servers are down :( I keep getting error 37 when attempting to log in. Will try again later tonight.

Ok I retract my previous complaint, it's my internet. Why does it act up on this of all days? :/

Yeah, those servers are pretty bloated at the moment. Can't log in either. But I did play a bit an hour or so ago and it was wonderful. Just like DNF I still can't believe I'm actually playing this.

Sigh I get error 75 and then error 37.... I am normally patient with this kind of stuff but lately PC gaming in general has just caused way too many issues for me. I work most of the day and it sucks getting home after 7pm, looking forward to the game only to it giving errors. I actually expected Blizzard to be prepared for this stuff..... I would understand if they had this problem a few hours after launch but it's almost been 24 hours.

Guess I will have to wait then.

Really now, one would think Blizzard would have considered this problem of logging in! I have been looking forward to this game for ages, and then they deny me a chance of playing it because they are ill-equipped to deal with the number of logins! Really now, an MMO juggernaut such as Blizzard failed to consider this problem! That's a big huge massive :(

I have to admit, this is really poor form from Blizzard, not having enough servers for the amount of people who want to play. I'd expect this from any other developer, but not Blizzard.

Got in, played a bit, loved it. By the end of the week, it'll be sorted out. So just chill.

But what do you guys think? Did they just underestimate the numbers? Or is this something technical that went wrong? And how fast can they fix it? Because I can't see them doing this. They are suppose to be the smart ones.

I played only until saving Deckard, but I found the Monk to feel incredibly powerful and honestly didn't come near death once.

WHAT? I didn't have my mic plugged in, but I assumed it would be standard when friends with voice are in range.
