Did you add Diablo 3 to your battle.net account? What region is it?

Try this:

Options -> Account -> Change your region to Europe.

Hi guys, loving the (2) hours of D3 I've actually managed to play. For those of us who want to play alone without friends randomly joining here's a link on how to do it :)

Protip: Enable Elective Mode in gameplay options. Gives more flexibility in terms of skill choices. That said, apparently it makes it easy to make poor skill choices first time round.

Sigh.

Latency is an issue, as it was in the beta. Not as bad, but I've found that I've barely survived fights because, in the game's perception, I've been swinging my attacks at an enemy that is no longer there - even if they are still present on the screen, thus allowing all the other nasties to get free access to whack at me.

Pretty much the main issue I have, outside of the cringe-worthy campy badguy lines :P

That's because it also downloads a bunch of stuff while installing.

I know. Its been on 1% for 20 minutes now. I have a 10mb line, so surely the 150mb or so it needs to DL should be done already!

Was Aiden always a named character? I'm assuming that it refers to the fighter/warrior class in D1, and is taken as canon that he is the one the defeated Diablo and became the Wanderer?

Also found it strange that they named him. As far as I remember the Dark Wanderer was always just the warrior/rogue/wizard of the first game, never had a name or any relation to King Leoric.

No. Was.

Blizz retconned him as a son of King Leoric. I got a copy of Book Of Cain. It has a lot of details regarding the Leoric family.
