Yeah, but it gets a bit heated when you've got three mages all attempting to hurl multiple fireballs at you, at the same time. :P

I went all SQUEEE when I got this:

But the literally 5 minutes later I salvaged the Prismere Hammer below it and built a much, much better one from it.

I Hate that you can't salvage purple items. :<

EA have announced that a story focused DLC pack titled ‘The Legend of Dead Kel’ for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be released on March 20th.

It will be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Origin and Steam. The DLC will give gamers access to Gallows End. Gallows End is a gigantic new continent for players to explore and claim ownership of a vast personal estate and also experience new weapons, Twists of Fate and other perks against new enemies.

    EA also added the following:

“Featuring a mysterious tale of intrigue, danger and dark magic on the island of Gallows End, players will encounter shadowy characters and new enemies, and will experience a host of new side quests, treacherous battles and exciting new challenges.”

The DLC will include the following:

An Epic New Questline – The Legend of Dead Kel is only part of the story of Gallows End. It intertwines with numerous side quests, multiple dungeons to explore and a colorful cast of characters
New Enemies, Dungeons, Items – Multiple new enemies and enemy variants, a new dungeon type: Dverga Fastings, three new Twists of Fate, eight new armor sets, eight new shields and 18 new unique weapons
The Ultimate Player Housing – Gravehal Keep is more than just player housing, it’s a massive estate with multiple buildings and a full retinue of retainers, each with their own back stories, side quests, perks and quirks
Tons more to Explore – The Legend of Dead Kel DLC adds in more than 15% of additional land to traverse and explore in the already massively expansive world that is Amalur

Im only lv22, been taking it slow due to the fact that im in pain atm (Slipped disc) but thought Id ask about the "Online" aspect of the game. I got a pass in the boxed game that I bought, which comes with free armor set are & quests etc (not sure which quests), but what part of the game is online. I dont see any options to go online to play with or against others.. Maybe it's just me but have I missed something here :)

The "Online" stuff is just DLC you get with first purchase. Theres no actual online play. Its 100% single player. :D

I had a really hard time finding this game on PC. I bought it on PS3, not knowing that a PC version existed because I'd searched through two entire shopping malls, and couldn't find it.

I tried a different mall and eventually found the last remaining copy in the entire mall.

How is this possible, did they really all just sell out that quickly? Not even Skyrim sold out that fast, as far as I can recall...

Is this game really that good? I played like 30 minutes on the PS3 version, and I thought it was so-so. Does it get better?

^^ Yeah also had a hard time finding it, I find it to be a little above so-so and OH MY WORD the side quests! more of them then there are grains of sand on the planet. Main quests completed 4 and side quests over 20 done, and I'm still in the beginning of the game.

Finished it this morning, and I have to say, the second half of my playthrough was rather underwhelming for me. Maybe it just drug out too long, seeing as you spend more or less 40-50 hours doing the same thing over and over again. Either way, it was an excellent game, but unfortunately the part I'm going to remember it by is the last monotonous part.

Also, I still stand by what I said about interrupts. Switched to Might at the end, and nowhere else are interrupts as irritating as with Might, due to the fact that you're constantly in the thick of the action. There's nothing as annoying as being busy chaining attacks and an off-screen enemy shoots you with magic balls or something similar.

Interrupts are actually one of the more common complaints for the game. They would make sense if your attacks only got interrupted by powerful attacks, but when you're busy fighting and an arrow that shaves of only 1/50th of your health interrupts your chain, it's goddamned annoying as hell and more than enough to send even the most patient of people into a raging fury.

Quick question. I have a lv39 Might/Finnese, & a lv31 Pure Sorcery. The lv39 character appears to get random amounts of gold appearing on screen constantly while in battle, anything upto 350ish each message. The Sorcery character does not have this.

My 1st thought was to check the equipment & fate cards etc of the lv39 but can't see anything that would cause this. I'm not moaning about it, but just extremely curious as to why it's happening.
