Just asking if anyone has an South African Clan started if I can join or if anyone is willing will start up my own.

I'm part of a clan! We meet every fortnight and have a great time discussing our beliefs and issues facing society! And then it's all ended with a bonfire and a parade!

For Uncharted 2, Tron so far. Still need to add more games to my collection.

In truth I would like to join a clan sometime. But first I need to work on being familiar with the in vogue games. MW3? Last first person shooter I played I think was Project Snowblind?I am upgrading, any suggestions on what multiplayer first person shooter to try first as a step to proper ?clan? play?

ID suggest you play bad company 2 as the BF 3 scene will be big in SA .. SO to get into clan type games .. learn BC2 and then excel in BF 3 and get a clan in BF 3 :D

That would be my advise.

The learning curve in cod4 is way to big and would waste ur time. and Cs 1.6 is even worse . SO yeah .. BF is the wy to go for me

Really? I've been playing online for the very first time in my life and chose COD WaW. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

In fact, because most are playing Black Ops, I'd suggest that he also try WaW, get to grips with it and try MW3 when it comes out.

If you attend LAN's, you get to meet many peep & Clans
The more you LAN, the better you become at gaming...

You are worse than a spam bot. 99% of the times the people at the lan are already in clans ..that iwhy your website has 2 clans registered . 1 with 4 teams other with 2 teams. Seeing as your cod4 tourney had 3 teams no one looking for a clan would have benefited from going to your lan.

yes you have a well run LAN .. yes your network is good and I will come attend your lan but don't try and use the competitive aspect to draw in numbers. Every lan has its " top team " your top team would get thumped by the local MPLD team.


and for those that want to flame me. I'm all for growing the gaming scene in RSA I mean that is my JOb lol. But i don't like people blatantly lying to gamers.


PS: Darryl; Reason why i Say your team is gagga, You have a pic of a cod 4 comp a while back on your site. 2 okes in picture 1 is the leader of ROC and the other one is ]OU[ Freakezoid. Both go to mpld and both haven't made it to top 8 in a cod4 comp in the last 3 years at mpld. last time Freakezoid did when i was still in Ou and we managed an upset draw vs nr 1 team in SA NBK. I'm pretty sharp when it comes to the competitive scene in SA

Yeah .. In cod 4 to ge t to the top level you would need to play about 1- 2 Hundred pickups . Pickup = irc bases random 5 v 5 games . Join on irc and teams get determined . YOu hit a server and play i na clan like environment. Now how quickly you learn is up to you. There will be a premier player on and you will get screamed at .. But if you listen and do what the tell you you will learn and get better at cod 4 way better.

Your prem cod 4 players have almost all of them played close to 1000 pickups and if you add about another 1000 hours of pub and 2 000 hours of Competitive play over the last 4 years . You can see that matching these okes will take a massive effort :D

The stats are even worse for cs
