Your poultry accusations cast suspicion only on yourself.

One can certainly see that the art of deflection is one you seem to have mastered, dear mayor. Do not think to distract us using poor pArkEr. He has been patrolling these streets for 40 years, I would think these 'boys' half his age are more than capable of making their own choices. His predilections aside, he has been a faithful and resolute servant of the Nagian Watch. The fact that you would make a scapegoat of him only proves your desperation!

Though what you are so desperate to conceal, I am not yet sure. I am not yet convinced it is murder.

During my lunchtime, I had a quiet time to decide on my suspicions as to who brought this tragedy to out great village.

Whilst he may have been caught in the act of adultery, I believe I will have to do an examination on the wife of the deceased to deduct if she and the mayor have in fact been adulterous. If she is to be found sexually unharmed, the mayor may have more to hide. If not, then we may get him to confess to his crimes via the eyewitness reports of our trusty guard, pArkEr. Where can we find the newly widowed? At home, grieving, or is she residing at the comforting residence of our now not-so-true mayor?

You defend the man's honour but cannot deny the fact that he warms your bed when those delicious chickens (and now you speak of goats!!) of yours are insufficient. His forty years of patrolling our streets has given him insight into every happening that has happened in our town. I would not be surprised to learn that between the sheets the two of you shared more than passion. What dark secrets does your unholy alliance hold?

Once again, our "trusty" mayor has resorted to simply shifting the blame rather than answer the controversies regarding him directly. What say you, mayor? What say you!?

Where is the wood of the fallen trees, I ask you! Let us turn to our carpenter, Cr@zydude. 'Tis in fair time that you completed the gallows, and I did not see thy labourers in the woods this morning...
My labourers have not been into the woods in days, and the wood used for the gallows comes from my reserve stocks. Any who know the manufacturing arts would know that newly fallen wood is not suitable for construction, it must first be cured. With such poor knowledge how then can we be sure of your statement that the clearing is man-made?

Whatever allegation you may attempt is baseless. What right minded man would build gallows form which he himself would be hanged, I ask of you?

I might shunt around the truth but at least it's honesty that I deal with. Slander has no place in this town and I will not honour it with a response - denial or otherwise.

This day will bring darkness to this town should you string me up like a common criminal. Without leadership we are nothing but the headless chickens that once brought prosperity to this town.
My sexual preferences have no bearing on the events of last night, my good mayor. I laugh at your feeble attempts to deflect suspicion on me, the town guard, when I have served this town longer than you been making your nightly ventures to the local brewery! It seems this habit has had more effect on you than previously thought...

My dear sir, when it is your life on the line, I cannot think it wise to let the townsfolk simply "think what they may" in an event such as this. Keeping quiet may be the catalyst driving the humble and peace-loving townsfolk into a flash mob, destroying, assaulting or even killing as they go. How about letting us know of your true intentions with the Widow, so we may remove you from our suspect list, should you be worthy to make the removal?

It is as I've always said, cut off the head of a mutated chicken and all you have left is a mad headless chicken running around - the evil cleansed from its soul. Men, GeometriX is that head. Think about it. Did we have problems before he became mayor? Even if, and that's a big if, he is innocent it can still be said that he is inadequately suited towards the role, and that a new order needs to be established. Cult killings, inadequate public service delivery, brown water... How far must this city sink before we /force/ a reelection?

Am I being unreasonable? I don't think so. Who was the first man to give another a death sentence? Yes, the mayor. It is time that we remove this obstacle, for proper freedom! Freedom! Free from mayors! Free from cults!

While our mayors affair with the deceased's wife and corruption appear to blood on his hands, I must ask, what of the other villagers? We few cannot be the only ones concerned. Why then do others remain silent? Have the fled the town in fear or is this not an attempt to hide in plain sight by bringing forward no evidence?

It is indeed most curious. They're just waiting for us to pick each other apart. Let that however rest for the next vote; we are still unsure of who has not arrived.

And who will take the lead once the town has no leader anymore? Who will decide what is the right course of action, or the most practical way of approaching a serious situation? Who would be worthy of such a title? Be it you?

People, this man has listed his intended order of killing as he goes. He clearly cares not for finding the murderer, but instead he fights against the ruling party! I would not be amazed if he has a grudge against a governing body, but be it justified or not, a personal vendetta has no place in this case, as we may very well lose focus regarding the true killer! Or, he is the true killer and is simply (with aggressive action) removing any and all opposition he may encounter on his killing spree...

Our Mayor is in Cahoots, he has taken an unholy relationship to a widow straight after her Husband has met his fate and is stealing from this town, Most likely to fund his demon cult.

Geometrix I only hope that you can make peace with god as you stand on the Gallows.

Perhaps our politics has no need of a mayor but instead a council. Would it not be wiser to have our problems solved by many instead of by the one? Once this killer has been brought to justice we shall re-elect!

And why not? We have no evidence to go on to find the killer, however we do have evidence regarding a greatly incompetent man! What would you rather do? Lynch someone at random, or someone who is a known deceitful, disgusting man?

This did not however prevent me from seeing a most telling sight: that of a young woman sneaking out of the quarters of Mayor Geometrix! A woman that, dare I say, looked suspiciously similar to the recently deceased man's wife...

Make of that what you will, my friends.
Citizens I implore you look to the evidence.

If it is indeed as Watchman pArkEr accuses, that the deceased wife was prowling with the mayor in his bed. (As evil as this adultery is) Then how could the Mayor also be the murderer can you not see this? pArkEr himself has just given the mayor an alibi. We are after all here to capture a murderer, not some adultrer.
