Questions about the EXPO (not the NAG LAN)

I know there are threads and more threads regarding rAge, but it I've noticed there is no definitive thread where we can ask questions about the expo itself. That being said, I don't even know if questions about the expo can be answered at this time. If the thread's a problem, feel free to close or delete. I do have a question or two though:

1. Is there any way of knowing what games will be displayed at the expo? I mean, will there be a program stating "Tetris 999000 will be up on screen 1252 at exactly 12:31 by ClassicGamesNecro" or something similar?
2. Is there any way of knowing what new technologies and **** will be on display at the expo?
3. How many people are expected to visit on the first day - the Friday - from early the morning?
4. Is photography allowed at the expo?
5. What day is generally the most busy/exciting at the expo?

Well near future technology is always on show as well as PC components by the dozen.

I dont think that friday is the busiest as people are working etc in the morning, but u can get the best free things on the friday :)

4. Is photography allowed at the expo?
Well last year people where taking photos with promotion girls and such, so I dont know the official standing on this but I dont think there will be a problem

5. What day is generally the most busy/exciting at the expo?
Saturday is the busiest as it is a full day thing, it is also when the competitions get drawn and such but I think that Friday may be more exciting as it is just starting and everyone is still amped.

Hey man

1) Well there is no live stream but they do have a schedule sometimes if developers come where they will display on main screen. Otherwise if you go to the different vendor stalls you should be able to play the games.

2) Not really. though you can expect to see most of what has been released at places like E3 and Gamescom sometimes. Just generally things that are coming soon.

3) As previous person mentioned. Friday is not too busy. Most of the people that are there are for the LAN early.

4) Photography is allowed as far as I know. I do remember that one year Megarom didnt allow photos of their games to be taken for certain reasons. So general is fine on the whole.

5) Saturday mostly and maybe a bit of Sunday. Be there as long as you can and enjoy it and collect free stuff :D.

Something I notice. Maybe I missed something.

The Rage Expo tickets are no longer lister on Computicket.

On the Rage website, http://www.rageexpo.co.za there is no information on how to get a ticket. I only found out be searching that the Expo tickets go on sale on 1 Sept.
Only the prices of the Expo tickets are listed there.

As far as I know you buy them at the door. You don't have to buy them beforehand.

Not trying to bash but rather clear up topic that some might confused with.This is always been the most puzzling part of rAge for me.I've attended for 2 years don't get where people under the assumption that "free" is the best part of the event.The free stuff that I know of might be the circulation of previous issues of pc magazines,lanyards and tons of advertising pamphlets that u probably don't bother looking at after the event.rAge expo shines in the department of showcasing the latest in technology/games and most importantly the SALES :).love buying stuff i need in one central location and getting it at the same time(find shipping for my stuff such a drag and nt willing to drive long to pc stores 2 get them 2).So don't expect to get thrown a pc rig for u and ur mate out of nowhere(maybe if u lucky in the competition draw prizes ect.).Just saying some get exaggerated representation rAge from what I gathered from first time attending people.

I don't think anyone is expecting a free PC or something like that. Discounts and discount vouchers though, is a big possibility. And who says I won't be interested in the pamphlets...? Also, I really do want an Asus lanyard. With the RoG logo. :)

i remember the good old days of raping the expo for all the lanyards that i could get and getting all the freebies at the stores cant wait for this year hope its not surrounded by consoles again.

Tickets for the expo itself (not the LAN) - yes, they can be purchased at the door. It has always been that way.

I think it would be awesome if you guys could also arrange to have the SA vs Samoa rugby world cup game on a big screen on the 30th September 2011, expecially seeing as we are in South Africa and im sure atleast 60-70% of the gamers coming to the lan support the boks and would love to see the game, just a thought...
