Origin is in beta. It will get better. This will not stop me from getting the pc version of mass effect 3 because honestly, the graphics will look better than the Xbox 360 version and it will be easier to download the dlc's and keep a backup of them like ME2's.

Apparently Mass Effect 3 demo has been dated for the 14th February for Xbox Live and the 15th for SA PSN users

According to reports (I've got an article scheduled for this morning, on eGamer, on PC specs and demo details straight off BioWare's forums) we're getting both components of the game, which means a singleplayer mission or two and the co-op multiplayer as well.

Really interested in trying out this multiplayer component, if only to see for myself that it isn't just a tacked on addition to justify EA slapping another Online Pass onto a game that sells well.

The singleplayer's going to have introductory story missions (the prologue basically) as well as a later mission and although I did play the code that was on demo at rAge (basically last year's E3 code), I'm half-minded over whether to touch the singleplayer in the demo because it's going to kill me to have to wait a month to continue on further, AND I know it probably won't be my Shepard in the demo anyway.

Honestly, I really don't care about ME games, I have ME1 but its got so many ****ing side missions that I don't know where to go to follow the story. So I dropped it. Only thing that has me interested in ME3? Kinect support bitches!

Maybe I should just get the first two games for xbox along with a walkthrough, I hate side missions...

edit: Oh btw, will the demo be available for Live "silver" or "basic" or "youdontpayso****you" accounts as well? and will kinect be supported in the demo too?

I hated ME1 but ME2 grabbed me from start to finish. Don't bother with the first game, jump straight into 2. :D

As far as I know, Gold accounts get demos a week in advance so you'll be able to download it a week later than the cool kids.

ME1 was so boring. Doing anything in it felt like a chore.

ME1 is one of the greatest RPG's you'll ever play. Yeah, when compared to 2 it looks ancient but it's still fun as hell. It just shows that Bioware looked at what worked and what didn't changed it accordingly. And Bonezmann, you hate side missions? That is what makes or breaks an RPG for me.

I found the story in ME1 to be far, far superior to ME2, but I just can't bring myself to play it again. I really want to, but the combat just feels too slow-paced and tedious. I stop because of it every time I think of replaying.

It does feel awkward but it's worth a replay IMHO. Played it through once with soldier and then a vanguard and both were amazing. The only place where I think ME was better than ME2 was the citadel, the Mako and some music. Otherwise it was 'n brilliant sequel.

Anyways, we are getting off-topic. So...Freddy Prince Jr? Haven't heard his name for a couple of years.

    WHAT IS WITH THE CAPS??!??!!!1

Mass Effect 2 was way better than ME1. It took me a bit to get into the first one but once I was into the game, I could not stop playing. I am curious to see how the multiplayer will be in ME3.

I spent 17-24 Jan replaying ME1 and ME2 to get the optimal Shepard for ME3 (I want my MaleShep to do Alenko :P ). 9 March can't get here fast enough...

ME1 is a brilliant game, even though the combat system did take some getting used to after having played ME 2 on and off for 2 years. ME2 is just as brilliant.

Hahaha!!! I totally agree with you!!! Unfortunately, I lost my perfect (well, almost) ME1 and ME2 save games :( I don't feel like playing ME1 again... but I don't like Udina, that's the problem!!! I don't know what to do now.

You can just do what I did, use Gibbed's Save Editor. I think I just had to play past the tutorial mission in ME1, save and then you could use the editor to change what choices the ME1 save should have for ME2.

I dunno, I never managed to get into ME1. The only thing that gripped my was the story and characters. I think I stopped playing when you had to drive this tank thing around. Was such a redundant level, I got sick of it.
