I dunno, I never managed to get into ME1. The only thing that gripped my was the story and characters. I think I stopped playing when you had to drive this tank thing around. Was such a redundant level, I got sick of it.

Driving the Mako was by far the worst part of ME1 (along with planet scanning in ME2).

ME1 is one of the greatest RPG's you'll ever play. Yeah, when compared to 2 it looks ancient but it's still fun as hell.

To fix that ancient look try the HD texture mods in link below.
I also liked no.1 better, but I don't have the urge to get no. 3 yet. Maybe someday

In both ME1 and 2, Garrus (incorrect spelling, im sure) died on me. Even when i was super careful about my choices, he still died. Stupid game. Garrus was the ultimate bro, why did you have to kill him...

That reminds me of my second playthrough of Mass Effect 1, I was certain Ashley would be the girl to "visit" me, just like my first playthrough, but in walks Liara and I'm all "Why are you here?" and she's all "LOL, my bad, I'll leave now" and then I felt empty inside and cried myself to sleep.

No one died on my first Mass Effect 2 game and I still have to finish my second playthrough on the hardest difficulty. I'd actually like to have a "not everyone survived" game so I can see how it affects ME3, hell I still have to play a renegade game -but I'll wait until I've completed ME3 :3

Half your surviving squad leaves you anyway, and in comes people like Ashley (that racist bitch), Kaiden, Vega, Liara and so on.

I expect much like those who played Mass Effect 2 with a save that had a dead Wrex from the first game, there'll just be other people pushing the necessary buttons and it won't be as personal as say, if everyone survived. And yes, I know I'm speculating but at this point I don't really care for the accuracy of my guesses. It's just exciting to talk about the game. :P /fanboy

Also, is it just me or has there been absolutely no word on Miranda's role in the threequel?

During my first playthrough, Wrex died. Because I killed him.... In ME2, only Thane died. Then my HDD crashed and I lost all my save file. -_-

Now I'm going to replay ME1 and ME2 on Xbox and I;m going to buy ME3 on Xbox as well.

There are 2 characters you choose to either save or get rid of in ME1 are Wrex and (Kaiden OR Ashley).

I'm still deciding which edition of ME3 to order. I don't really care about the DLC items, seriously. I rarely used any ME2 DLC items.

Ya I looked at the voice cast and I was happy until I saw Jessica Chobot from IGN. I just find it a bit dodgy that a presenter from a reviewing site is in the game. I smell a 10/10 from IGN for that specific reason. I'll play the game, no matter who is in it but I just think they should have used somebody else. What worries me though is that they did not show Miranda's character which leads me to think that she might die at the start of ME3. Not sure...

No need to speculate what will happen to Miranda in ME3. It's pointless. Just play the damn game when it get delivered to your house. You will get all your questions answered WHILE you are playing. It's much more fun that way. Sigh.
