Some of the new tracks from Beyond Magnetic.
BTW I love me some countreee first thing in the mornin.
This may have been posted before but if you feel like crying, watch this (a beautiful song btw):
One of the best Metal bands to come out of the UK (thanks to Grim for the heads up).
Have to show my support for these guys, mystified as to how underrated they are. New album dropped yesterday, and I highly recommend it. The Life and Times, No One Loves Me Like You Do
If you like, you should check out their frontman's previous band, Shiner.
Well, I've been listening to nothing but the new album for the past three days or so. I have to say, it's a great album. The only track I'm not fond of is Hello Tyrannosaurus, Meet Tyrannicide but otherwise, the rest of the tracks have an odd flow and some interesting melodies. This is the first album I heard from them to be honest. Would you recommend a second one?
Listening to some classics on this lovely Friday afternoon.
:D
I never knew these guys are from South Africa! If you like Jungle, you'll love this.
Iknowrite!
The South African Underground has quite a lot to offer...
Here is the streaming of the new "Lamb Of God" album: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds#/3
Big Wreck's new single, Albatross
Don't be fooled by the initial fleeting and surface similarities to the kind of insipid rock Nickleback are infamous for. Ian Thornely has one of the best voices in rock and his song writing chops are stratospheres above Nickleback and their ilk.
Give 'em a chance, you may be pleasantly surprised.
If I don't look he sounds just like Chris Cornell especially when he starts going higher. Keen to find more because, as usual, you point me to some good sounding music. Also I love Soundgarden so this seems like a no-brainer.Don't be fooled by the initial fleeting and surface similarities to the kind of insipid rock Nickleback are infamous for. I bought me some new Heuwels Fantasties CD the other day. Enjoying it pretty much a lot, it seems like their music has grown up a bit from their first CD, but they still perform with the same passion. They must be one of my favourite groups today.
I just had a sad that the CD (Wilder as die Wildtuin) didn't have the "Tussen Stasies" track with Jack Parow. That's one song during which I don't mind listening to him.
I'm currently addicted to this song. Seriously.
Yeah, comparisons to Cornell are pretty common, and not without merit. He's been around since the mid-90's, two albums with his band Big Wreck both of which I highly recommend. His band in the mid 2000s was called Thornely, who play a little heavier but also pretty decent, but Big Wreck is where the good stuff is. Nowhere near Soundgarden musically, they are far more straight rock tinged with blues, and he plays an awesome slide guitar.
