Your R8500 - R10K build .


I would definately add THIS ram to the budget one and also use the 8GB varient for the R10K machine . That saves you about R300 and if you mix and match you will be able to afford THIS as the GPU


On the 10K rig you have a Extra R500 to throw at a GPu :D So have fun :D

NVIDIA GTX680 ANALYSIS, PART TWO: PERFORMANCE

I'm seriously considering a 680 somewhere in the near future. Either that or a 6970, depending on the budget.

EDIT: Oh also dude, I may not always feature and pop up with comments and stuff, but I like this thread. I'd PM Geo and have it stickied. Good articles, good purpose and good, solid stuffs. Thanks! :3

EDIT2: In that pick from AsRock, are they allowed to bust a motherboard when it's so obviously a Gigabyte P67A-UD7? Shouldn't they, like, hide the logo's?

ASROCK is a Taiwanese company. Gigabyte is also Taiwanese. I think that island's too small for both of them to reside together peacefully :-P Also, if I had to buy a new card, it'd be a GTX680. Its cheaper than the HD7970 right now. HD6970 isn't too bad either, might go down to bargain prices in the next three months.
