Tekken 6 Fund Raiser Tournament

GetHype is planning a Tekken 6 fund raiser tournament on March 10th, the tournament will be R50 entrance and all proceeds will be going towards plane tickets to bring up some of the Cape Town guys so they can participate in Sodium Overload 2. This is just a way for our community to support each other and get players from the different regions up for tournaments.

We are looking at raising R3000, so far from GetHype side we have taken the money we made at the SoulCalibur V weekend and put that towards the pot. So we know have R500 towards that.

Jag has also donated R100 towards this and Shadow Joe will be putting an extra R100 towards this at the Tekken 6 tournament.

Hopefully with a good turnout we will be able to reach this R3000 mark and get some players up here for Sodium Overload 2.

Registrations will open soon and if all goes well the first 10 registrations we receive may get a little extra on the side, more too come on this.

I am currently looking into prize sponsorship but I also want this too be more about the community coming together and helping each other out than the prizes. So anyone that plays Tekken or has any interest in the Fighting Game Community please try to come out for this and support the scene.

Tournament will be Double Elimination, best out of 3, 3 rounds per game, 60 second matches. Random Select stage if the players cannot agree on a stage.

Might be helpful to include venue information. As if this is in Durban I obviously won't be attending.

More info will be coming soon on prizes and venue, the venue is pretty much confirmed and will be hosted at the AWX shop in Randburg, Brightwater Commons, however I will be updating the post once everything is confirmed.
