I think the fact that we all hate him is testament to how fantastically devillish he is, as well as how talented the actor is. Out of the whole council, I find myself oddly rooting for Littlefinger, despite his part in Ed Stark's capture. Once again, it just goes to show how incredibly developed every single character on the show is, with the exception of Jon Snow.

Intrigued as to why you think Snow is under-developed? I mean it could be that the books have boosted my thoughts on his character as a whole but I found him to be one of my preferred characters in the first season - pre-reading.

One character I find myself not caring about at all is Sansa(r?). Right from the start I haven't liked her at all. She's a pretty weak character, granted she is living in ****ty conditions, but she was weak even before that.

No I am completely with you there Zoop. If I had a penny for all the times she cries...

I guess it's a lot because she doesn't really fit in with the Starke family. The rest of the are all pretty brave and courageous, able to take whatever the world throws at them. She's the odd one out.

Which I believe is in fact symbolized in various ways.

Look, she serves a purpose in a narrative sort of way, and her presence is important to a degree but she really gets on my nerves. It all started when she didn't stick up for Arya when Nymeria (Arya's Direwolf) attacked Joffrey. There has always been this air of she-had-it-coming which I have struggled to get over. She also makes the worst decisions. All the time.

    She basically killed Ned too.

This. I'd hoped that she'd shoved that little **** king off that bridge where the heads were hanging, only to have him drag het along and they both can fall to their merry ****s. She's an idiot for still sticking with Joffrey, when she should have just stuck him with a knife or something instead.

That being said, I'm beginning to grow an odd respect toward Jamie. Who knew he was a little more than just words and a shiny plate of armor?

Still have to watch the last episode. My GF will hate me if I watch it without her, so I have to wait for her first...

But didn't she trick Joffrey into sparing that drunk guys life by making him the fool? That was some cunning ****, just for the sake of a man she doesn't even know. That is where her Starke showed. I love all the characters, even the ones I hate.

He wasn't drunk! He only had like 2 cups of wine...

Still, I agree. Love to hate them.

I just haven't him display the range of emotions that the other characters have on a regular basis. He's either doing the whole brooding 'I'm a rebel' thing, making jokes or staring angrily at someone. Don't think the actor's on the same level as everyone else either.

Despite that, I actually like the character, and he was actually my favourite in the first season.

Well I haven't watched the third episode yet so I'll reserve judgement.

What I am really enjoying is seeing the ebb and flow of you guys and your love and hatred for certain characters. All I know is that the characters I love now are a little different to when I started out.

I don't get people hating on Sansa. She was a young girl (13 or so) who had dreams of marrying a prince and becoming a princess. This fantasy tainted her perception of the reality she found herself in until it was shattered by the cruelest of acts towards the end of Book 1.

I enjoyed her thoroughly in CoK, but saying more would be spoilery.

I have to agree. Sansa is just someone who was very naive at the start with her fairy tail dreams of the future. All her dreams have been shattered now. So yeah hate against her is totally undeserved.

Also wow wasn't Brienne of Tarth just excellently cast. She , Arya and Tyrion are probably my favorite characters in the book

Yeah, so undeserved. She never kept the truth from the king, thus causing unjust action to be taken with regards to her sister, the butcher's boy and a completely innocent wolf.

There was no way she could have known that her wolf would have been killed or that butcher boy would be killed. She was engaged to Joffrey and thus took his side. It's only natural.

Also her wolf dying was quite an injury to her. If you have not yet noticed their is a strong bond between each of the Stark children with their wolves.

Nope. She should've disgusted by what he did. He cried like a baby and she should've known he's not a king right there. Also, the king gave her an order and she disobeyed directly. Also, it's obvious that something had to be done. Something was to be punished for Little ****'s "mauling". She also seemed fine with the idea of Arya's wolf being killed, and only reacted when hers was to be taken in it's place.

In short: She's a bitch, she got herself into the mess she's in and she should deal with it.

She chose her betrothed above doing what was right. Yep. Typical teenybopper.

You realize she is 11 at the start of the show right?

Interestingly enough, age is one of those things that to tend to mutate in the translation from book to series.

Daenerys, as an example, is about 12-13 in the books when she's married off to the Khal (and quickly subjected to Drogo sexy times).

Naturally, this would be just a bit controversial if shown on televised media, so they changed her age to be more 17-18 to be more in line with contemporary social norms.
