Thread: What would you like in the Tech Section?

So here's the thing - I'm not getting enough feedback form my articles to know if you guys are enjoying what I'm writing or not. I've got a poll going here and I'd like everyone who reads the stuff in the Tech Section to vote on it - no need for a comment or post, just a vote.

I'd like to hear what YOU would like to read more about and how, or why you'd be more attracted to the site if certain things were posted there. I've got the Press Wednesday thing going and the Fantasy Friday and Oldie But Goodie columns up regularly, but I got more hits so far on my ongoing GTX680 analysis than I've ever seen (part 3 coming this week).

So am I doing anything wrong, or less of what you'd ideally like to see? Let me know.

I think it's hard guessing the "success" of your articles based on the amount of comments/feedback you get on the forum/NAG site. I read them almost religiously, even more so if it interests me. Thing is - I know a little bit about the inner workings of PC's, games and the likes around it all. Therefore your articles, to me, is like a Bar One every now and again. Fun, informative and a very good quality read, but I don't always comment on it. This is not because I don't like it, au contraire, mon ami, I love them, but I find commenting a bit mundane seeing as how I get my fix from it - it's what I expect and what I want. Sometimes I'll ask a bit more, should the article permit or should I not fully understand what I just read, but otherwise it's all good to me.

I've considered this a short while ago, but shot it down, and I think now is a good time to ask - maybe your thread could be stickied? I'll get more attention, look sharper and will always be up first. I'll quote your posts more often when people ask "i needz a gaymin rig for r10000 lolz" if I can find it easily enough. Same with questions about hardware. Press releases I'm not so worried about, I tend to skip them unless I see a name that will affect me directly (like the Sony post). Reviews are always welcome, and opinions are good to read if you want an open, unrelated view on something you recognize. Analysis is always a good thing.

In short - keep your stuff coming. It seems to me you're a bit disappointed, and I vowed to comment more on your articles (on the forums, mostly, it's easier to discuss anything on here), but I'm not going to start commenting just for the sake of commenting. That's spamming and useless anyway. Don't lose hope. Sticky the thread (ask Geo and draw him a phallus-shaped gift-picture, he tends to like those) and keep your post quality up. I like them. Can't comment for the rest though.

I agree with Toxxyc, I've read and enjoyed almost every single hardware article you've posted on the site and especially the system builders articles. I just don't feel the urge to comment :) keep up the excellent work!

Thanks :) So long as you're clicking that "Like" button at the end and sharing it if you like it, I'm a happy chappy.
