Thread: Petition against removal of 'Sexual Orientation' from bill of rights

Tell me about it. We spoke about it in one of my tutorials this week, and students I considered to be fine, upstanding, intellectual people said things that I wouldn't even expect of the most backwards rednecks out there.

It's pretty sad. I was hoping the up and coming generation might be the one to break out of the era of prejudice, but I guess that's up to our children's generation.

People are still idiotic, selfish, self-serving and brainless to such an amazing extent that when someone mentions gay marriage and sweeping the issue under the rug they all rejoice and join the bandwagon of homophobia (not you lot, you're all fine).

Its like finding a way to disallow someone who was previously Catholic into a Anglican church because they didn't like the idea of the Crusades and other Catholic-only practices, even though it didn't affect them directly and having a Catholic walk into the church isn't going to magically incur the wrath of God. (true story)

    Signed.

Although I have my own very controversial opinions on this sort of thing, human rights are human rights. They cant and shouldn't be changed. Moslty because people died for them. Its a sad story that they would even consider this. Its like they trollin the nation.

Also, on another note, I haven't seen Onona for awhile. This is the sort of thing she loved to 'discuss'.

    After her third rage-quit I think it's rather unlikely she'll return ;)

You sure it was only her third? Hell she rage-quit way back in like 2004, when we were still on the first forum and she still went by her first name.

Third "official" rage-quit, at least. Not counting just storming off in a huff. I remember them all quite well.
