Thread: Post your work/play space

    Default Post your work/play space

Seeing as we haven't had one of these in ages, I think it's time for this thread again.

Here's mine. A bit on the boring side, but eh. Sorry about the bad quality pic.

This pic's worse quality than yours, but here's mine. The white Xbox is broken, I haven't figured out what to do with it yet.

I was literally gonna start a new thread when I got home as I've just been working on my setup in my new house. Spooky. Will post pics later.

    Love these threads <3

Should have taken these before dark. But anyhow.

The book against my case keeps the side panel from rattling when there's a disk in the DVD drive :P

Eeeh, how do you guys play with such clutter on your desks? (Well, Cynikill's isn't cluttered, but I'll explain below) :p

I simply cannot work on a cluttered desk or one with little space. I almost need to be able to swing my arms around or I struggle to focus while using the PC. Even when it's not really impairing my movement, anything unnecessary lying around on my desk just... bothers me.

Then again, my entire room is like that. I can't stand a cluttered room, so it gets kept neat and organised at all times. My flatmate is a total slouch, on the other hand, and just knowing that his entire room is in disarray drives me nuts, even though I never go in there.

To be honest, my desk is a bit more cluttered than usual. I am actually a very neat and organized person. Usually on Saturday mornings I'll find myself cleaning up my room, putting things where they belong. It's just a tad more cluttered right now as I'm studying and reading up on lots of things I'm working on at the mo. The Xbox controller is always in the drawer, just have it out when I'm using it. The Airoma can standing there was used 20 minutes before the pic was taken because my dog let off a stinker in my room.

But to be fair, I don't really mind that clutter, or that amount anyway.

    Clutter indeed;
All work and no play makes Wir a dull boy
All work and no play mmakes Wir a dull boy
All work and no Play makes Wir a dull boy
All work and no play makes Wir a dyll boy

And yes, my coffee mug is awesome.

Wow, you guys keep things really neat. I'll remove my junk and dirty dishes so that I can post a pic tomorrow. It will probably still look like crap.

    This.

Well, no dishes, but all other things though. Papers, books, notes, hardware, DVD's and CD's (I don't have a dedicated rack for it really) all over. I use two DVD's to tilt down my display when lying in bed otherwise it's too high and the colour gets distorted.

To be perfectly honest, I'm a bit of an untidy keeper at home. I store A LOT of useless junk that I'm probably never going to use again, but hell, you know, just maybe one day I'll find some use for that little piece of cool plastic...

My setup. To my right is a massive 46" LED TV with a PS3 hooked up <3 But I do a lot of my gaming on the PC these days.

Yes it's a mess. I tidy it up every now and then, but things just find their way back to my desk. The desktop's about 6 years old, but does day to day stuff fairly well. Laptop's got a bit of a kick, but do most of my gaming on the PS3.

I thought I'd never see a beige case again on these forums...

What wallpaper do you have there?

Also, is that an OCZ Equalizer I spot there? I painted mine a few months ago as the logos began to rub off. Gave it a nice blue scheme with a few coats of clear :)

The case is 10 years old, and I've had no reason to replace it :P

Haha, Last year I used it to lift my 23" higher, but moved at the beginning of the year, so left a bunch of the less essential books behind.

Yes, it is an OCZ Equalizer, had it for the past 4 or 5 years. It has served me well :). Love the new paint on yours, my logos have also faded, sadly.

Oh and that's a Diablo 3 wallpaper I got of off Reddit. I can try and find the original link if you want.

And I just realized how horrid that CD Drive of mine looks with the black case. Mostly people are too distracted by all the monitors to notice it though :D.
