Thread: Tt's eSports Black Element Cyclone Edition is...

Uh, a mouse with a fan on it. No seriously, clearly gamers have insanely sweaty palms that Tt decided it needed to cool down our hands as well as our processors. Enter the Black Element Cyclone edition, which features a detacheable mouse on the front and looks rather cool (pun intended) to boot.

You have GOT to be kidding me...

I'm pretty sure Tt is actually just trolling the enthusiast hardware segment...

How in the hell did you reply so quickly?

Guess I hit the What's New button at just the right time.

Also, I'm awesome, and it freaks less-awesome people out quite regularly.

I'm quite drawn to the idea that you're rather an entity that lives within the NAG server :-P

Actually this mouse will fit their eSports Challenger Ultimate keyboard - also with a fan on it. I'm buying me the keyboard, yes, but I'm not going to be using the fan anytime soon. It's fugly. Period. The rest of the keyboard is damn awesome though, as I would expect this mouse to be.

So now you can paralyse both hands in winter? :-P

Luckily the fans are detachable... Though I'm a sweaty user, I think the fans may help me a little, even though reviewers say the 6,000RPM fan doesn't move all that much air.

6k RPM? That thing's going to squeel like a mofo, guaranteed.

Tt really has hit rock bottom and has now proceeded to dig their way down. First the chassis with the water-bottle holder, then the Level 10, and now peripherals with fans tacked onto them?

It's not the first time they've slapped a fan onto a peripheral:

Yeah, I know about the Challenger, but I thought they'd realise that it was a ****ing retarded idea and let it go.

Why do they insist on adding a stupid gimmick to a keyboard, rather design a full-size wireless keyboard with proper backlighting... *wink wink*

Let them take design tips from Razer while they're at it.

My friend has the challenger keyboard, the fan is utterly useless.
Frankly, I'm happy with my Sidewinder X6 and R.A.T.5 :D

Until they die, I'm not buying any peripheral anytime soon ;)

People need to think the hell out of the box and get a heated mouse figured out already.
    That would totally rock.

**** that, I want heated PS3 controllers already. Just put a 5m USB cable on and I'll be happy.

It's actually pretty quiet. EDIT: According to review sites, that is. Useless, though.

But come on guys, let's cut Thermaltake a little slack... The Challenger Ultimate is a pretty good keyboard for a pretty good price. You get customizable backlights (256 colours) and keys, and all that for a really good price. The keyboard is solidly built and has good support, enough customizable keys and everything else a decent gaming keyboard should have. Sure, the fan is a useless tack-on accessory, but you just take it off, plug the socket with the supplied dust covers and slide the fan into the slot under the keyboard made for it... The keyboard also has audio in and out, 2 x USB ports and detachable cables. Also comes with a carry bag.

Thermaltake is fairly new with their products, and we've got to understand that. They're trying new stuff, which is awesome for someone just entering the market. I mean hell, here we have a dedicated thread to their products. They're getting attention, maybe this is exactly what they want?

I like Thermaltake. It's a bummer Logitech doesn't make a decent competitor to the Challenger Ultimate.

Nobody is knocking the quality of their products. Heck, we ran the NGL finals at rAge last year using Tt peripherals. It's just that they build fans into things that shouldn't have fans built into them. It's silly, is all.
