Immortality

Read 2BR02B, by Kurt Vonnegut, as well as The Last Question by Isaac Asimov.

I'm hoping Asimov's vision pans out, as that would mean overpopulation would be resolved, for a period of time.

It's something I've thought about a lot in the past, and I'm rather saddened by the idea that I'll die eventually. Not because I fear death, but because of everything I'll be missing. We cannot even begin to imagine what technological advances would be made 100 years from now, much less a thousand.

I would love to be here just to see what the human race eventually accomplishes. Mostly I'd be happy to live long enough just to see proper space travel become a reality.
