Thread: EA in a nutshell.

Also, one gets tired of throwing **** and vitriol at Activision all the time. We need to focus on EA a bit as well. (plus EA holds much more interesting IPs than Activision)

I really hate doing these quote response things, but I'll do so anyway:

Just have a look at echo's response to my 'Teenage medium' thread of two weeks back. While reading it, I actually imagined a leprechaun behind a desk, jumping up and down in fury (no offense to echo, it's just that angry leprechauns make for a funnier mental image than angry fully grown adults).
Haha! I get what your saying in that you imagine someone typing it in a particular way, I also use to do that with onona and sometimes when you moan a lot, with you. But the video doesn't really bother me or make me mad. It just came across as a pretty stupid video about an arbitrary thing. Much like a video about Chuck Norris would be. It's nothing new and it's just getting old now. And while it does come across as if I always disagree with you it's just that I like to play devil's advocate, because nothing is as clear cut as EA=bad or Valve=Good. There is always more to a story.

I really don't see what is supposed to be so superior in this, aside from the normal security with which people express their opinions on a daily basis.
Like Kharrak mentioned. Everyone is stupid except for him. Because he can totally see through the EA bull****. But what about all those people that buy EA stuff and enjoy it? Are they sheeple (****, I hate this word) for enjoying something that he thinks is below him? Thousands of people love Madden and Fifa and Battlefield. Who are you to dictate to them that what the're buying is wrong or dumb for supporting EA?

No, just leaving a scathing remark about something without explaining why is similar to posting lol. You ad absolutely nothing to the discussion, except that you are unhappy about it. Do this a lot and you start to sound like Slither, moaning for moaning's sake.

On one hand I'm going to agree with you that Publishers are usually to blame for a product not being top quality but on the other you say that the quality of video games have dropped? Deus Ex: HR, Batman: Arkham City, Skyrim (maybe you disagree), Gears of War 3, Red Dead Redemption are but some games that came out in the last years that were brilliant.

No, they don't. Even little known critics in SA get to go to press screenings, which are free. As do most well known publications overseas.

Lastly, I would just like to mention that while I may sometimes disagree with what you and Squirly say (especially when it come to Obsidian) I really like your opinions and the way you present them. I'm never really mad, so take that like you want to. I just find it boring if everyone always agrees.
