ProTip: Dust filters and keep the case off the floor. First thing I did with my PC when I noticed dust for the first time was move it upwards, off the floor and onto the desktop. Space is a little less, but the lack of dust is a very welcome addition, specially on OC'd components.

I generally prefer to have my pc on my desk, due to the ease of access and dust, but my desk in rather full, but I think I must get a small bedside table to put it on or something, or figure out how to make more space on my desk

I defiantly must rig up some dust filters though

I suffer from lack of space myself, but you WON'T see my PC on the floor. No way.

Anyway, you saw my "cheap filter" option on the previous page? It really does work... :D

Lol. Not everyone would take that as a compliment ;)

Also, I thought Sagittarius were the anal perfectionists?

Well I'm getting the rest of nonsense out of storage, and reorganise my room, definitely going to get off the ground then

How do you get the stocking to stay on the fan, glue or just wedge it between the fan and the case?

Pritt stick (that red glue stick you always had to have with you in Grade 1 and the same stuff that weird kid in your class liked to eat)! It lasts long enough to keep it in place until the fan it properly seated, after which you won't really care. Replace every 3~6 months as it will cover up with dust FAST.

When the stocking does come loose by accidentally.. it may end up badly if it flies into the fan.

Same story when little baby cousin Johnny crawls into your room and decides to stick his finger in the brand new 200mm Antec TriCool you just installed...

Which is why you secure it properly! :)

I've not had an issue with the stockings personally. Granted, I'm not using it anymore (my new case sports build-in removable and washable filters) but I didn't have issues with them in the +- 18 months I used the fans with stockings! :)

    hahaha..
I felt the same pain before.
But nothing was funnier that seeing my friends little bother passed out after touching the EHT line from a T.V. lop-T
    25000 volts anyone?

I opened a CRT once. Can't remember what happened after sticking the screwdriver in the backside, except waking up to a freaking out mom, a screen in the trash outside and my hair standing straight up. NEVER again.

Have them all over my case but dust always finds a way.

Buy this! The ultimate PC dust eliminating tool.

    The BL-3500 Extremely powerful

After seeing this baby in action at a top electronics "distributor" I bought mine from Makro Woodmead (They have a demo there too) for around R500

Let me just say after cleaning my PC with rubbish c air a week before, this thing caused a dust explosion out of my PC.
    I fear dust no more.

Take off the nozzle for maximum effect.

    Edit: Oh and 0 static.
That post would make the best infomercial!

Well cleaned out most of my Rig this weekend, didn't get time to strip it completely, but atleast cleaned most of the actual case, looks better.
I'm going to wait till my mobo arrives this week and clean the rest, atleast I managed to rearrange my desk to fit my rig on it :D

    Nice.

But as Wesley says hold your fans because it might damage them. I have had no problems though.
