Well I'm not surprised. BJ's went out of business ages ago. Pity, their gas station hamburgers were pretty good back in the day. What's that you say?

Going to try and get started on the book over the weekend, will select a recipe and get a rough draft and a layout going. Hopefully in a week's time, I can post the first recipe, and if the forum approves, I'll leave the thread running for another month and let's see how many recipes we can compile in that time. Obviously, since Kharrak asked so nicely, we'll leave the thread going after that, and perhaps we can start looking at doing something like this annually. Thanks again for the great recipes and even better text!

    APPLE CAKE

    1⁄4 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 Shelled Chicken foetus
    1⁄2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon which evloves into cinnabon at level 50
1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger the spice kind not the souless kind.
1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg and I don't mean a crazy Megan.
1 teaspoon vanilla essence, exorcised from anyone possessed by a vanilla demon.
    1 cup flour
2 cups finely diced peeled apples or fruit from the garden of eden (In which case you're obligated to prepare and devour this naked)

    Preheat oven to 170ish.
"Spray & Bake" the hell out of a baking pan that seems sizeable enough for the crap-house full of mixture you have.
In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until creamy, beat it good and hard.
Add in the egg and beat until smooth.
Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla essence.
Beat until well mixed. (Yes keep beating it.,... keep beating it just like that)
Sift in flour and mix just until smooth.
Stir in delicious delicious apples of deliciousness.
    Pour into pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake is done. A good test is to poke it with a knife and see if it bleeds cake mixture.

Right now you have an apple cake, but it needs a topping. so we need some of the following..

1⁄4 cup fat-free evaporated milk, you can buy it in cans now, these modern folk are fancy.
    2 tablespoons of butter
1⁄2 cup brown sugar... mmmmm some of that broooown sugar
1 tablespoon rum, I prefer to test it before adding it to the recipe by pouring myself a double rum and coke.

Mix evaporated milk, butter, and brown sugar in a small pan.
Stir over medium heat (My stove has numbers so I put the plate on 3ish) until the sludge just comes to a boil. (That's when it makes bubbles guys)
Immediately remove from heat, unless you want it to curdle, like lime juice and cape velvet (hurk)
Stir in rum. Drink another Rum and coke (Don't drink and drive. Not for sale to persons under the age of 18. Drink responsibly)
Serve warm over gratuitous slices of cake

Not sure if this counts but, I got a recipe for a killer banana milkshake/smoothie. Its pretty simple really.

    What you'll need: (two servings)

    1 x blender
    2 x banana
    500ml x milk
    1 x peanut butter jar

    Optional:
    1 x jar of jam
    1/2 x teaspoon sugar.

You could add more bananas, depends how chunky you'd like your smoothie.

Okay, now all I do is cut the bananas in half once and throw into the blender.
Blend until you've got like a banana paste. Add milk. Blend again. Add as many
table spoons of peanut butter as you desire. Blend again.

If you're really mad about sweet stuff, you could add a couple teaspoons of
sugar if you want or jam even. Just add to taste.

Now, I thoroughly enjoy the taste of this fruit drink. Hope you guys will enjoy it
    too!

^ That's pretty much a solid protein/fitness shake right there. Just too bad I am finding peanuts harder and harder to stand these days, I've had way too much of them already.

    grilled cheeeese

    what you need:
    cheese (obviously).
    2 slices of toaster ammo.
    1 onion.
    margarine/butter.
    a griddle pan.

    what to do

    1. grate enough cheese to cover the bread.
    2. cut a few extremely thin slices of onion.
3.lube up the bread with butter or margarine
4.assemble everything and squash it down so that the melted cheese wont try to escape.
5.heat up the pan, don't add oil or anything to the pan. when you think it is hot enough toss in the sandwich.
get a smaller pan and use it to squash the bread even more. cook until brown on both sides.

don't use one of those sandwich press things, it wont taste the same.
6.serve with cinnamon coffee.(coffee with some cinnamon sugar from pancakes)

I'm thinking of compiling a PDF ebook for this, and I think pictures would be nice. I think the ebook would work best if it is seen as a continuing thing, where people continue to submit recipes here and say, once every year or 6 months we update the book.

So, if you happen to make your recipe one night (or day), take a picture and upload it here.

But anyway, without further ado, Azi's Burgers of Baconing (holy **** those things are huge!).

And yes, they resemble infant brains a bit. +1 to Intelligence after eating them.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that's only four of the eight I got out of the pack. The others are going in the freezer for next week.

No, just beef. I've got a ton of minced meat in my freezer that never gets used, so I decided to try out the recipe.

They say a picture is better than a thousand words. So here's the picture.

Although I overdid it a bit with the chilli flakes so it was also like Mount Doom erupted in my mouth, but it was still delicious.

I completely forgot about this thread. Next time I bake something, I'll take photos and post.
