UMvC3 and KOFXIII Tournament

Been a bit of a quiet period now with regards to tournaments but GetHype will be hosting an Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and King of Fighters XIII tournament on the 21st July 2012.

The event will be held at AWX in Brightwater commons in Randburg.

Registrations will open at 10:30 and the first match will start at 12pm. Both tournaments will be double elimination best out of 3.

Entrance will be R30 per tournament or R50 if you want to take part in both.

Unfortunately there will be no BlazBlue tournament anymore as it has been delayed again for local release, as soon as it is out we will setup a tournament for this, until then this tournament will be replacing it.

There will be no character banning for any of the tournaments however TAC infinites will not be allowed in UMvC3.

Remember registrations will open at 10:30 and the first match will start at 12pm, so please try to be on time.

Ok here are the final rules for the tournaments:

All games will be played on the PS3 console. Players are to bring their own sticks or controllers. Pad users must turn their controllers off before leaving the station after their match.

Both tournaments will be double elimination.

King of Fighters XIII:

- Time will be set to 60 seconds.
- 2 out of 3 games need to be won in order to advance.
- Winners and Grand Finals consists of 3 out of 5 games.
- Winner will not be allowed to change characters only the loser may be allowed to change their characters. The winner can however change the order of their characters.
- Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option.
- Billy Kane, Saiki, and DLC characters will be available and permitted in the tournament.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

- Default time of 99 seconds
- 2 out of 3 games need to be won in order to advance.
- Winners and Grand Finals consists of 3 out of 5 games.
- Winner will not be allowed to change characters only the loser may be allowed to change their characters. The winner cannot change the order of their characters.
- Loser has option of switching team and order.
- Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option.
- TAC infinites and Kabuto escape will not be allowed.

Turbo button features are NOT allowed in either of the tournaments, this will result in a full disqualification from the tournament.
