Re: The Secret world
TSW actually did start out as a single player game, which probably explains why it actually has a great story and sense of personal place in the world, but not much else. I played it when it came out and I found the MMO stuff to be really ****ty - generic, derivative, uninspired. I dig the world and concept though - it's a great idea.

Re: The Secret world
I'm really loving the investigate missions. I just finished the one you get from the guy at the church in Kingsmouth. It roughly took me about 2 hours, mostly because I was stuck after the painting section. Then I got stuck on figuring out the keypad code. Actually had to go check online for that. Would never have figured to check the Bible. Now that I'm starting to get a feel for the puzzles I'll probably start thinking outside the box.

Re: The Secret world
I'm not sure if it's still the case, but using the in-game web browser to do research on quests was considered a core part of the game. As long as you're staying away from blatant walkthroughs (or at least not relying on them too much), then you're doing exactly what's expected of you.
