Excess airtime

Since I barely ever have to send an SMS due to all the IM software on phones these days, I've found myself with a fair amount of airtime and I have no clue how to use all of it. Even when I phone people on a regular basis my airtime keeps rising. I'm on this contract for another year and a half, so what I'm looking for is a way to spend some of my airtime.
I'm looking for anything which I can purchase using mobile credit (something like BOKU, but not only for a specific game) or any SMS competitions worth entering. Even any worthy subscription based services which charge airtime.

I don't know how contract airtime works, but can't you transfer the airtime to friends/family who might want it?

I'm currently sitting on a pile of airtime of R600, which always stays there as the older cash gets removed from my account every end of the month, and the new cash I get is more than I use in a month. :<

Maybe try looking what other places have those sort of systems and buy other crap.

Haven't had time, unfortunately.

I'm actually looking for any place where I can buy digital goods (games, magazines, e-books, whatever) with airtime. So far, I've had no luck.

It's a pity though that with something that costs $10 (R82) they want to deduct R200 airtime

Ugh, I'm in the same situation. I've been on a contract that's included way too much airtime for me, and now I'm stuck with an accumulated R1,800 of the stuff to use before my contract expires at the end of August, when I can leave the overpriced hell that is MTN.

The only good ones I've found have been "One entry per person".....so not much help.

I saw that MTN has a service called Me2U that lets you send airtime to other people. Problem is that the airtime isn't taken out of your bundles, it's deducted from your account as an additional purchase.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist mentioning that.. it does make me wonder what someone would do with that much airtime if you guys can't even find a use for R1000 worth of the stuff.
