I picked up Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery. It looks so cool I cannot wait to play it!

Woah, just saw the Tribes: Ascend Starter Pack. The game itself is F2P but the $5 for this pack is a really good deal. The pack usually sells for $20 but I'd say it's valued at closer to $30. Even though I've already unlocked a few things from it, I'm quite seriously considering getting it.

@James - Steam actually accepts debit cards, though. You just need to have the Visa or Mastercard logo on your card. There might be another little trick or two for it to work, as my parent's debit card didn't work but my sister's debit card did.

I've picked up the Trine Franchise pack so far when it was on special yesterday. I haven't played either but I believe they are really good, and FreakKing even likened it a tiny bit to Lost Vikings. So I'm sure I'll enjoy it! :3

I'm thinking of grabbing the first two oddworld games too. I played them when I was a lot younger, loved them, but never finished either..

.. and please, anyone with a heart vote for L4D2. I want it. :3

DNF really isn't as **** as people made it out to be. If you sit down and expect a generic, crass and curse-word filled FPS without much more to offer it really is a fun experience. I finished it only a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. Easy (not much of a challenge at all, TBH) and linear, but fun nonetheless. If got flamed because people expected a CoD class shooter, but instead got Duke Nukem 3D with slightly upgraded graphics.

I now have Saints Row: The Third + Season Pass. It's going to take ages to get this and Space Marine downloaded XD

The repeats are a bit stale. Batman is up again? If it wins this will be the third Batman sale over just the last few days.

So far nothing has really interested me. It's just been a "meh" sale. @ Zoop, yes it is pretty silly that they repeat the sales that much. I missed out on the Civ5 sale. Would have wanted to pick up some DLC. Same with Warhammer but I'm sure it will be repeated during the Summer Sale. Just wish that XBL and PSN would have such awesome sales as Steam.

But I'll keep watching it until the end. Might just pick up Knights of the Old Republic for $2.49. Lost my copy of the first one. Oh and what is Dear Esther? Herd a lot about it. Worth it for $2.49?

At $2.50, yeah, it's worth it. It's not really a game so much as it is an interactive story. I enjoyed it, but $10 was a bit steep for what it was, which was about an hour, maybe two, of walking around an island and listening to a monologue.

Arkham City is $10, but can't see anything else :/ Last years Summer Sale seemed to have far more interesting games, plus the achievements...

Well I've been waiting for a special like this to try out Alan Wake and F.3.A.R. so hopefully my grand total of R70 spent doesn't disappoint.

To be honest I'm also finding the sale rather meh. Oh, and if you don't get Arkham City for R80, you shouldn't live on this planet.

Some of you are saying the sale is "meh" and that it was more interesting and exciting last year. Is it a case of the sale itself being at fault, or simply that the majority of interesting games that are out there you already own? I think I mentioned earlier in this thread that I've slacked terribly with titles over the years, so a lot of stuff is catching my eye personally and I'm finding the prices quite enjoyable. I'm just a bit curious as to what the general feeling is. :)

I'll admit a lot of the newer titles don't have my interest, simply because at current I don't have a computer that could play any of them. The older titles are definitely getting my attention, though.

Bastion, Oddworld Pack, Left 4 Dead 2, Trine Franchise are a few purchases so far, and at the moment Company of Heroes has caught my eye. Any one recommend it?

^I recommend it, get it and the first expansion pack, not the Valor one, that was silly.

The games that look like real bargins are ones I already have, plus I have nearly all the indie games, true, but last year you could earn achievements, to get tickets, which could be used to get special event dlc and even a game.
I also could be wrong, but I recall being spoiled for choice with the games on special before, this time I find myself trawling through pages of the steam catalogue hoping something catches my eye.

This time it's "Work on your 2 badges -something is coming".

I haven't bought anything yet, a few interesting games I wanted to get but then saw I could get the actual physical game cheaper.

Nothing really exciting stands out yet.

EDIT: Oh except Magicka, missed that one and really wanted it.

    I want Orcs Must Die 2, but it's only 10% off :(

If they dropped it under $10 it would have been a definite buy for me. I totally LOVED the first game.

It was 50% off a day or two ago.

Picked up Max Payne 3 for R250 and Alan Wake for about R80. Best R330 I have spent on games in a long time. Put 3 hours into MP3 and haven't even touched the SP. Finished the first episode for Alan Wake.

Why is LA Noire not available in our region? Not that I'd buy it. Just curious.

I saw that the DC Universe Online DLC is at 75% off. I loved DCUO and played the hell out of the 30 days that I got with it. After that, just didn't get back to it. Is anybody still playing the game, since it's gone F2P? Also, how is the DLC?

It's 18 gigs, minus the patches. I'm still downloading it XD
