Razer's Arcade Stick nears completion, final Beta testing

Razer's long-awaited Arcade Stick is in the final beta phase, having undergone just under a year's worth of testing and trials to make sure its ready for gamers across the world. With a design and chassis catering to modders, Razer hopes to capture the old-world charm of playing on those awesome arcade machines and even is planning a range of snap-on covers with different skins to represent your favourite games.

I wonder how well, outside of fighting game enthusiasts, these arcade sticks sell. I've had a few arcade sticks in my time, notably the Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur sticks from Hori, but outside of fighting games, I never really saw the need to plug them in.

Yeah, its a very limited use-case, but on the announcement page on Razer's website they do mention that these are tournament-grade peripherals, so it may have a good following in the hardcore fighter market.
