OMFG!!!!!!!

The first sequel announced at the Spike 2012 Video Game Awards was ‘Dark Souls 2′. The news came with a new teaser trailer that shows some very impressive cinematic scenes.

There were no platforms mentioned, and no gameplay was shown in the video. Instead just a sweeping intro and a slight introduction of characters that will be a part of the upcoming title ‘Dark Souls 2′. The franchise is notorious for how difficult the first game in the series was to play. We are going to guess that ‘Dark Souls 2′ will not be any easier on its players. Hell yeah! Totally blindsided as I thought From would do a completely new "Souls" game, but sequel to my favourite game? Amped!

Been watching the trailer over and over and couple things that I think would be awesome, the opening lines seem to indicate that the story may be after Dark Souls following the Dark Lord ending, there where also no bonfires in the trailer which could also indicate that this happens after the Dark Lord ending. So could this mean that the ending was canon?

Opening building from the first scene looks like the undead asylum and has a crow flying towards it or rather it looks like a crow, not sure if this is a Dragon. Kind of weird since the age of Dragons where dead so having a 3 eyed Dragon in the trailer is weird, maybe a relation to Kalameet or the Ring of Evil Eye?

If this is after the Age of Fire could that lady on the mountain be the last firekeeper? That would be awesome, could the final boss be the chosen undead? :)

Or this could all be wishful thinking from a DS fan and we just get a new story and universe similar to Dark Souls was to Demons Souls.

Ah yes I cannot think of a game I more want to play than this. So you guys out there who finished Dark Souls, what are you hoping to see in the sequel?
Myself I want to see more reason for NG+. I'm not talking about online at all, just purely from a single player perspective. I want weapons, upgrades , spells, that are only available NG+ and further. I want NG+ to be even more difficult than the initial playthrough, I find with my lvl 130 katana wielding badass that very little stands up to me on NG+, and a little bit of the magic is lost as a result. Maybe it gets harder later on, and on further NG playthroughs, but atm it's all pretty easy.

But beyond that, DS2 just needs to be everything that DS was and more, and if they're trying to reach out to a wider audience as they say, I just hope they don't try to fix what aint broke.

Then finish the game at level 1 and play through NG+ as a level 1 character, can guarantee you that will be the challenge you want. Level 125-130 if done right will give you the perfect character in that respective field, since you are using Katana's you should have a Dex build with a normal +15 Uchi, Iato or Chaos Blade, so you pretty much max out your character at level 125-130

I want more invading!!! Love the feeling of someone coming into your game or breaking into someone else's game.

What do I want?

1. Tone closer to Demon's Souls, so a little darker and a little more poetry to the writing.
2. Roaming powerful enemies, who can provide a serious challenge at any time
3. A bit more balance in armour sets so that there aren't clear min/max winners

From the gameplay video it is clear that the engine is more polished. I will probably get it even though I should finish the first one. That cyclops coming through the wall looks great. This game will no doubt be one of the greats.

Hot damn does that engine look good. I am curious about how they'll get it running so smoothly on current-gen consoles though. Please let there be a PC release day 1.

As for the gameplay, it really looks like they're just polishing up the core and adding to the fringes. Couldn't ask for anything more. It's just knocked Last Of Us off as my most anticipated game this year.
