Quake community suggestions

This is where you ask questions or make suggestions relating to all things Q3/Q4. Patches, type of servers, mods, etc.

If you want to start something at Rage in terms of a community run competition or just have a general interest in the genre and want to comment on it, post here. Please keep this related to this genre, and to the Open LAN Section only.

Please keep in mind that you will not be allowed dedicated servers of your own, if you have not confirmed it with myself. This includes laptops, servers without screens etc. There are two ways to bring a server to rAge. Firstly you can contact me, we agree, your server stays in the admin area, you remote connect to administer. Secondly you could just buy your server a ticket for rAge in addition to your own ticket. There are not dedicated server tickets that are cheaper, I just mean buy a second ticket and bring your server.

If you want to host a friendly comp, we can help in making certain resources available on our website at the event, but we will not get involved with the whole administration side of things. Thus you will need to give some details, see Server Template thread for what is needed.

Yo. What version of Q3 should we gave? So it wont be frowned upon if a bunch of guys throws R10 in a jar and the winner takes all?

CPMA or OSP mod. Both will be available at the event. OSP used to be the default competition mod, but since development stopped, people have been moving over to CPMA.

Can we expect Q4Max to be the main Mod used for Q4 like it was last year? Also, will some extra maps be available on the sever like last year?

(Looking to forward to having some good Deathmatch fun in Quake 3 and 4. Would also like to play some CTF and Q4 DeadZone!)
