Thread: Looking to buy Speakers

    Default Looking to buy Speakers

I have this next door neighbor.
    He plays saxophone.
It ****ed me the **** off.
I want to rock him into oblivion.

Thus: I need some insanely powerful, yet not insanely expensive (not willing to pay more than 5 grand) speakers to achieve this goal. They need to be able to plug into my laptop (MacBook).

I've taken his crap for long enough and now he is going to be strangled by my Slipknot and burn In Flames. The Tool is going to get hit by the Dragonforce and will be Disturbed until my pain is Avenged. Sevenfold.

have you asked him to maybe play at the other side of the house? I presume you have but all I can recommend is a couple huge subs and an AMP that will send the low bass tones his way through concrete.

My bro has 2000watts and that doesn't make a dent really but we have a big property.
I think your thrashing a dead horse here but whatever-it's your cash. I would just buy some decent headphones and leave it at that.

    "Amp" isn't an acronym.

These should do the trick, R600, awesome deal....... But wait, um I think they use 6 slots on my friends PC?

I have those, and they're totally good speakers. They use 3 ports, if that's what you're referring to.

These seem to be the most popular 5.1 speakers ever so many people i know have got them .

I used to have the Speakers FIRECAT posted then upgraded to the ones cov1e_stalker posted(Z 5500). I'll say that both are good for the money, but the Z 5500 is just just so much louder, the sound clearer and sharper and the sub is almost bigger than my case. :)

If you want to annoy the neighbours the Z5500 is definitely the way to go.

If you can afford it, the Z-5500's are the way to go! Excellent sound quality, very loud, many memories of neighbors asking me to turn it down, only to turn it up :D Seriously even at full volume they don't distort!

I'll still go for headphones and just ignore the guy.

Thank you all for your advice. I will be taking an excursion to go and purchase the Z-550 speakers today.
I appreciate what those of you who want me to speak to him are trying to say, but the time for talk was over weeks ago. This really is war.

This morning for example, 4AM(!!!!!!!!) I get in from going out, don't make a noise, merely slip into bed and pass out. 6AM (!!!!!!!!!) I hear my nemesis start his crap, his room is right on the other side of the wall of mine so I hear every distorted note. My head is throbbing like a blasting amp......

If la-policia comes, we're both going down. A catch-22 of note..... my first track is going to be at 4am tonight, 3/4 volume at first. Bite The Bullet by Machinehead shall be the track.

I must sound soooo insane right now.....but I've become obsessive!

Didn't realise that he's on the other side of the wall, that bitch. Here's what you do; go spoil yourself and get the Z-550 speakers, hook them up, play some loud music, go over to his room, **** him up and shove his saxophone up his arse, go back and enjoy your day.

    These look insanely powerful !!
500w RMS. These babies(Z-5500) will rock the socks of that saxophone player, nice price/performance.

500W RMS! That seems a little overkill.
