    I'm compiling a developer Q&A for Far Cry 2. Any suggestions, or questions you'd like answered, put them here.

    Nothing idiotic like "OMG LIEK IS CRYENGINE 2 GOING TO BE USED LOL", especially since:

    a. Ubisoft is developing Far Cry 2; and
    b. They're using their proprietary Dunia engine.

    What programs (3D Max, Zbrush etc) do you use for character design and texturing?

    Could you tell us something about the weather system that is used in the game?

    Will the health points system follow the trend going around of self regenerating HP or will you have to pick up Health packs?

    What is the point of using processor power to make plants grow in real time? How will this add to the gameplay?

    Was there a chance of changing the enemies in the game due to the "racism" controversy of Resident Evil 5?

    Are there any other games that gave inspiration other than the obvious predecessor?

    2. Will you need to have played the first game to understand the storyline of the second?

    Why Africa?

    What kind of factions will the player encounter?

    How do you plan on keeping the player entertained (and focused) in a sandbox world?

    How will the 10 playable mercenaries differ? Will they offer different styles of play?

    How do you plan on balancing a whopping 10 playable mercenaries?

    Are the 10 playable mercenaries on offer unique enough to warrant more than one play-through?

    {I mean, isn't 10 playable characters in a sandbox game kind of overkill?}

    Please elaborate on how the three non-playable female characters will serve as “buddies” to the male player characters, and why the decision not to feature any playable female characters in the first place?

    How does all these characters puzzle into the plot (if any)?

    Do you consider Art Direction as an important part of game development?

    Many developers lose the plot chasing after “photo realism,” how do you plan on avoiding this pitfall with Far Cry 2?

    Do you plan on releasing any DLC down the line?

    What kind of achievements do you have planned for the Xbox 360? Anything out of the ordinary?

    How will destructible terrain, buildings and foliage factor into the gameplay.

    Will the game feature any aerial vehicles?

    Will any of the wildlife featured in the game pose a threat to the player? Any hungry lions perhaps?

    The game seems to be focused on survival, will the player have to hunt and/or gather food to eat?

    Did the developers enjoy their trip to Africa?

    I still want to know if they bring in actual indigenous people to do ingame character voices, use a somalian(okay bad example) use a South African to do an ingame South African's voice or do they get some random guy to do a funny accent
