I'm just pointing out, that it's not so much the shows in English, but the fact you've watched the Jap first (which one you watch first, will always inpact an idea of what the characters sound like) and simply the choice of casting.
For example, the only voice in FF:U I'd say is bad in the boy (Yu?) because he talks monotone, like he's just reading his lines, but I'm perfectly fine with the other characters.
*EDIT* You know, I thought they looked familar, I found a...eh...manga of them from my highschool lanning days on an old CD. I can't post images due to their...um...quality content ;)
Then, I'm sure everyone had a problem with Renton at the start of Eureka (he sounded like he spoke under his breath 'Ha-mazing'), he did seem to improve later on, but no one has had a problem with Wolfs Rain (even though they almost have the same voice guys for both).
Hell, I can pick out which character had a bad voice and why -are you sure you're not just abit bias because the stuff you've seen is in Japanese? Give English a chance.
I kind of laugh at the english of Naruto because they say 'Jutsu' (I've seen a few now) instead of 'Art of' -but the fans cried blue-murder when the Manga had the correct english. "We don't want the characters shouting Art of the Doppelganger, we want him shouting Banana-Fana-Jutsu" ("Shadow Art! Clone!" I believe). Bad example, but I'm trying to say don't knock-it straight away because of-

Sorry for the double post, but I just finished episode 13 of Bleach and in Episode 14's preview I -think- I saw Bankai! Is he that big black hollow shaped like an upside down Icecream cone?
Nice try, but Bankai isn't a character. Trust me, it's not something you can miss easily. They make a BIG deal about it. ;)

it's like the bleach equivalent of going super sayan 4 in DBGT.
I think Ikkaku has the most kick ass bankai.

I did say you may spoil the Bankai thing for me, did Ichigo reach his form of Bankai in Ep14 then? I don't understand completely... Oh and btw, Ep14 is probably the funniest since ep 10.

No. :p Like we've been saying, you'll KNOW when he hits Bankai. Besides, they only introduce the concept a little later on in the series. At this point, Shikkai is still a mystery, never mind Bankai. ;)

Bankai will hit you in the face like a speeding train! Dont try to guess what it is. You'll know when your flattened! I love bleach's intense music just before a fight... Gives me the goosebumps :D
Has anyone watched Beck? Its probably the best (possibly only) anime iv seen about music! The band scene and skills is quite awesome... Its really wicked you guys should check it out! I hope they never make an english dubbed version, it would kill the anime!

Angelic Layer... on Animax. Just looking at the intro makes me wonder if its worth a look. It reminded me of Medabots. The dub on that show is HORROR-ible. Translation was bad IMO.
Last five eps of Eureka coming up! It's an amazing show.

When I heard the pop music in the intro of Angelic Layer I nearly died of embaressment (23 year old watching girly kid show crossed my mind) but I actually enjoyed it, mostly because of the creepy scientist who everyone else freaks out at (or calls the police on for chasing little girls) but the main girl talks to, like there's nothing weird about an old guy talking to a girl he doesn't know.
Also "I think you killed him" today, had me laughing

Yes I've seen Beck and it's an awesome anime. For me the greats are in order. Naruto, Death Note, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell Stand alone complex and Bleach. I know I'm forgetting a few as I've seen too many animes in my lifetime.
