omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg!

The new Berserk OVA is out! Getting it now! Can't wait!

Also, I finally watched Fate/Stay Night and I gotta say I enjoyed it. I like the whole idea behind the Master's servants take on the image of fictional historic figures and legends. Enjoyable watch.

Okay so I just watched the first film of Berserk now and..... wow! Just wow! After the Reuroni Kenshin reboot I thought they were going to f it up, but what we have now is CG that you can hardly tell from hand drawn animation, A story that follows the manga as close as possible, mouthwatering fight scenes that will make you pray for a game to be released in the style of Dark Souls (plz plz plz) and voice acting that is very good, nay, awesome!

But the winning point for me is probably the fact that it doesn't have that annoying intro music the previous anime had XD now that was horrible!

It's in Japanese, have no idea when it will be dubbed. But I'll probably watch it again dubbed when it comes out.

[edit] just saw the Dragon Age ova. called Dawn of the Seeker. Looks pretty cool, going to check it out.

Wow! Just watched Dragon Age Dawn of the Seeker. It's really good and the fight scenes are also entertaining and Picollo voices the bad guy :D forgot his name....

It also reveals the origins of Cassandra the Seeker from Dragon Age 2

I am wanting to get into Manga but have no idea what to start with. Was thinking of one or two Higurashi and that's about it. Can anyone recommend anything that AWX has in stock that can also be read by my little brother (About 14 years old) and maybe ones just for me? I don't like the sports or racing genres so Initial D or whatever is out, so pretty much anything Sci-Fi or things along the lines of Code Geas, Higurashi blah blah blah.

I'm... really not prepared to go through all of Animeworx's dozens of pages of stock...

I'm also assuming your "little" brother hates being called as such :P

Seriously though, you're going to have to be specific in regards to what you like, don't like, and/or how your brother sits in those categories as well. There's a literal plethora of genres and styles.

Are you more comfortable sexual or violent content? Do you want intelligent and gritty (like Monster), or simple and clinical (like Bleach). Do you like ecchi? Are you repelled by things without humour? Do you prefer cutesy or realistic?

Naturally, tastes blur the lines, but I'm gonna need guidelines before suggesting things.

Or, I can just suggest a few that I really enjoy myself, and describe them, if you want...

Okay, lets forget about my brother altogerher then. It just complicates things. Im fine with ecchi up tp a certain extent. Id prefer there not to be sexual content and am fine with violence to a degree. I like comedy but dont mind if it has a good story and is intelligent. Then im fine with the lack of comedy. Dont like fantasy in particular but things like spice and wolf style fantasy is fine. I dont like fighting genres like berserk or dragonball. Im fine with both cutesy and realistic. I like the sci-fi genre with shows like ergo proxy et cetera. I like both serious and comedy shows and manga. Hope that helps and sorry for any improper grammar and such as this was done through my phone. You can also tell me what you enjoyed and ill check it out.

You're not making it easy for me -we clearly have rather opposing tastes :P
I'm one to enjoy seinen manga - the stuff made for readers in their 20's and up.

Still, I can suggest a few. NO idea if Animeworx stocks 'em, though:

    Akira

The manga the movie was based on, but the movie pales in comparison to the source material. One of the most epic pieces of fiction I've ever had the pleasure to read. Harsh, violent (but not excessively so), intelligent, and absolutely grand in scale. A fantastic story. Fully contained within 6 MASSIVE volumes (the movie was loosely based around the first book).

    Tende Freeze

About a boy who unwittingly has the ability to drastically increase the psychic power of any psychics who make physical contact with him. The first psychic to discover this, is ordered to keep an eye on him... by posing as his girlfriend - while trying to keep his power secret from any other psychics that may wish to use his ability. Eechi (actually, the only eechi I've actually enjoyed), but not sexual. A fun, and humorous story. Short, but lovable. 4 volumes in totality.

    Yotsubato

The BEST way to make you smile when you're feeling ****. Not because it's funny (it is!), but because it's so utterly and completely heartwarming. It's about this 6 year old girl, Yotsuba. She lives with her single father. She lives next door to a family of a family, with three daughters, her friends. This is the tale of her adventures in learning and life.

There's certainly continuity, but no overarching plot, no grand objective, no twisty story. Just day-to-day chapters regarding her life.

    Mushishi

Mushi are bizarre entities, alien, not alive nor dead, not completely rooted in our reality, but they exist everywhere within our world, invisible to the vast majority. They can wreak havoc, or provide succour, but ultimately are only striving to survive as any animal would. Ginko travels and offers help and guidance to those troubled by their presence, rare in his knowledge and ability to perceive them.

A very relaxed manga, much more focuses on investigation and mystery. One of my favourites - complete at 10 volumes.

    PlanetES

Another short set - 4 volumes (though volume 4 is split into 2 parts... so 5 volumes?). A VERY interesting and intelligent view on space travel, and how the advances in technology, and the dreams thereof, affect people still on earth. The anime based on it fleshed out the concept a lot more, but focused much more on the first two volumes, whereas the last two volumes go further.

Thanks. Will keep an eye out for the those. Will just peruse AWX in stock sections every now and again until I see something that intrigues me. There were a few that did, like fairy tail and another called anima or something. Black jack also interests me but my final decisions will depend on their stock and my preferences.

Just finished watching Needless. Very awesome anime that seems to get its inspiration Guren Laggan. My only real complaint is that one of the fights take place in an oversized teenage girls room that takes up 10 episodes more or less. TAKE THAT DBZ! HAZAA!

    Sorry for DP but...

Just finished the first book of The Legend of Korra. Holy crap this is awesome! I'm really impressed with nickelodeon. Enjoyed it just as much as the first Avatar and Thundercats. Definitely recommend it.

Also, I totally want me a fire ferret :3

So started watching Sword Art Online, none of the other new shows really caught my interest but I gave this one a try and it seems pretty cool. Kinda similar to the .hack anime but I loved those so I guess it's no surprise I like SOA

School Days, I've got the option to watch it and just want to know if it's worth it. If I understand the plot right:

Girl and Boy fall in Love in High School, Girl turns boy onto her best friend, Boy leaves Girl for her Best Friend. Girl gets mad/jealous, Boy rubs it in Girls face, Best Friend gets pregnant, Girl kills everyone.

...and there's a sequel somehow? So am I right assuming it's a simple, tragedy story?

    ---Yes---.
The manga is different from the anime. I got my shocking ending from the manga

I recently started watching Eureka Seven again. Words cannot describe how much I love this anime. Probably the only mech anime I've ever enjoyed.

Aside from that, I'm going through Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the first time. Feels almost exactly like FMA so far, to the point where I questioned whether I was watching Brotherhood or just rewatching FMA.

I've watched both, must say Brotherhood is very good! Keep watching, will get better.
