    There isn't one.
I've seen this thread pop pop on various forums dozens of times and the answer is almost always that 3g, iburst, you name it, generally sucks unless you luck out and live in an area with awesome signal strength.

Dude i live next to a Vodacom tower would that help??
Or is it still gone lag...
Is there any other way than a land line cause telkom will take like a moth or more to install one?
    And i wanna play NOW.

It's a gamble. Some people game fine, others struggle. I know iburst offers a 14day trial so I would suggest that route. If Vodacom offers a trial, try it.

I have 512k adsl, which works for me. Landline > wireless. Taking a shortcut will just bite you in the ass later. Trust me, playing lag with a bad connection is zero fun.

Get iBurst to come round and do a signal test for you. If you get anything less that 90% - don't bother. I had a friend staying over recently who plays WoW, and he managed to have a consistent 500ms ping while I was playing CoH with a buddy online, while my gf was browsing, all at the same time.

Just saying - sometimes you get lucky, just don't bother with and FPSs or similar. PVP might also be a bit difficult, especially with those smooth moves that require critical timing.

I gave you my advice, you took a steaming crap on it, if/when you're crying about your ****tacularly worthless connection in a week's time don't come crying to me.

    fukken /ignore.

The problem with wireless is the fact that, you have to recieve a whole piece of data then perform error correcting code before you can use the data. on adsl you can perform error correcting code earlier since it a solid connection, hence less lag.

The only way to reduce your ping is to recieve the code faster(Faster conncetion) or perform the error correcting code earlier and faster(Killer NIC) Wireless has about a ping of more than 500ms where ADSL would have on of less than 200ms

Ok i know adsl is better than iburst and 3G.But i cant install a landline.
That why i am looking for alternative connections?(Iburst or 3g)
I know iburst gone suck in our area checked the coverage map and its fair connection.
But we got good 3G coverage so i wanna know from someone who has
tried to play WOW on the UK servers with a 3g connection how playable is 500-800ms in WOW.Before i go and buy the USB modem for R2000 bucks.
Really want to play WOW again.

Think it should be fine if you stick to DOTA you wont finish the 1 gig cap.
People tell me they play WOW with 1,5gig cap all month and they play allot.
    Like about 40meg a day.
